First time using Autos a few questions

I have decided to try a batch of Autos. Mainly, because I do not have space for a separate tent in my house to have a perpetual grow. I like the fact I can have multiple plants in different stages of growth in the same tent. I have grown in soil before, but haven't for a long time. I prefer Hydro but I won't have the room or time for that. I do have a few questions though.

1. Are the Auto seeds feminized?
2. How tall do they get on average? I have 48" to work with.
3. Can they be cloned, if so how early do you need to get cuttings?
4. Any suggestions on soil to use?
5. What size pot should I use? Plan on having 6 plants under a 400W HPS
6. Air pots? Are they worth the money?

Thanks in advance.

I'm growing my first ever autos now so these are my opinons.
1 Autos are feminised.
2 Height differs for different strains and conditions, you have 4 ft to play with so you will find plenty of varieties.
3 Personally I wouldn't try and clone them because of their short life span, I would think the yield from a clone would hardly be woth the effort but perhaps someone can tell you more based on personal experience.
4 The same soil you would use for any MJ plant.
5 I think a 15L or 3gal pot is adequate, again you don't want a huge pot because of the length of the growing cycle.
6 Never used airpots, they are cheaper fabric pot options I think.
Good luck.

Thanks. I was thinking the same thing about clones.

Thanks. I was thinking the same thing about clones.
If growing indoors with them it's easy have a few of them running at different stages under the one light, just stick your light on 18/6 for the full grow and in say 2-3 weeks add more seedlings to the mix so you have a kinda perpetual grow going.
The less stress on an auto the better cos they don't have the time to be recovering from topping etc, every day with an auto counts.
Have you got your seeds yet?

I usually top and lST. I guess I will just have to let the autos be then. I've yet to order my seeds but will in the week. I order from Attitute. Any strain recommendations?

As I said I'm doing my first auto run now with sweet seeds red poison, basically I like the look of the red buds and they're only 8 weeks from seed to weed, supposed to yield anywhere from 35-175g outdoors which is where they are.
If I do autos again I'll go with some white widow and AK47, I read some good reviews on yield and potency about them both.
Auto blueberry is supposed to be another good one.

I'm sure you do LST an auto, it is the least stressful method of training, after topping you would lose precious growing time waiting on them to recover.
