First time... Need a bit of advice

So Im ecstatically happy to say that Ive just completed day 72 of flowering my girl from unknown bagseed. Based on all of the wonderful information disseminated by FDD in his mammoth "Finished?" thread, I believe that I am right at chop time. Most hairs, probably 70 percent are red/brown and withering. all trichs are at least milky with about 30-40 percent amber.
Also my girl is a genetic herm.
There is a SINGLE developed seed (that I can see, at least) and Ive been kind of trying to use it as a landmark to tell how close to maturity she is. The Bracket around the seed is receding, its browned, and you can see a helathy light grey seed in there, looking about ready to jump out!

Im WAY too sketched to post pics on this forum... but based on that info... would you give her the Judo chop?
Planning on doing in tmrw in the early AM so, quick responses are appreciated!

Hey Lalaura, congratulations on the grow.

Determine harvest time by trichome ripeness - go by the color seen under a hand microscope (60x-100x). With some experience with your strain and pheno you will know what color trichome gives you the high/stone that you want. Until then look for cloudy to amber.

Thanks for the quick replies! But Just for the record that chart is totally useless lol. Ive been obseving milky trichs since like week 6 lol. I definately have seen waves of amber in her since about, two weeks back... I suppose the reason Ive been so cautious is Im still seeing greenish/white pistils at the very tip of her foxtails.... I am however using 6500k daylighs so..... Im assuming that has something to do with that haha. ( sorry, snooched to the max right now)
I just dont think she has any more fattening up to due, given the CFLs im using and their spectrum... I mean that seed is ready to pop right out and germ haha. And some hairs are brown, almost black at their base... so I think Im going to chop tmrw early am!

Excitement. Unless anyone can give me a good reason not to, given the description Ive provided haha.

I mean no insult by calling that chart useless its just that Ive been schooled by FDD's philosiphy of "done when she looks done" haha

No worries Lalaura, we've got to find something that works for you.

A holistic approach like FDD's would look for an overall look:

- calyx swell and look like they're going to explode, they separate from each other
- buds look sandy because of the trichome color

Got any pics? Closeup and of the whole plant? I like to clip and sample buds as the plant ripens, looking for the different type of effects stages of ripeness give. I trim and bake at 106 C (~225 F), I dry the bud and bake it for 10 minutes more. A tray in my toaster oven takes 45 minutes to an hour, a couple of buds sometimes 15-20 minutes. Clip the colas into buds for quick drying. I baked my Jack The Ripper and got the best high I've ever had, it's not the perfect cure but it's the best quick cure for flavour and potency. Spectrum of effects report linked below.

These Strawberry diesel look like balloons that have been blown up too much, ready for the scythe.
