First time mixing soil

I'm about to transplant to a larger container (a geoplanter) for the remainder of veg. I'm using a Matt Rize soil recipe. I need to know the best commercial soil to use with this recipe. http://medicalmarijuana.com/experts/expert/title.cfm?artID=66

I also should mention I'm limited to a local hydro store. Sunshine mix, happy frog, etc. maybe a few others

i dont use anything from fox farm or any all in one soils bad shit

I'm trying to stray away from them too. I start in them but I want to do something different through the rest of veg and flower

any good garden center in ur area man should have some nice soil stay away from hardwear stores and wall marts hit up a good garden center place were u can get like rocks soils plants that would be ur best bet

if u wanna be adding stuff to it u would want nothing in it like ferts or slow release stuff as u run into drama

Walmart keep's some good mixes and soil's...I also find the Jungle Mix moisture control for cheap @ landscaping places...Great Mix/Soil..They make both...These are almost nutrient free 0.1-0.1-0.1 So You get what You want as far as nutrient's.I live in Houston and there are a few Grow shop's but I seriously can't find any difference in Quality....

I need to keep everything organic too. The problem is I don't know which brands to trust at a wal mart or any stores like that. And my hydro store doesn't have anything without added fert except for sunshine mix #4
