Right now my seeds are germinating and I have just set up my whole system.

Basically it is two Rubbermaid tubs with 8 gallons of water in each. There is a air pump which has a hose that goes to the air stone which is placed in the middle of the tubs. (2 air filters, 2 hoses, 2 stones). Then in the top of the tubs are the lids with 6 holes which have 6 holders for the rocks and the dirt squares. (Came with the system)

Right now I have set the systems up and the water is bubbling away.

I will be using liquid karma, and pure blend pro grow as my nutrients for my seed germination phase

Now I need to hang my lights. I have 2 600w lights with reflectors and I need to know how high they need to be hung up above the plants

Can anyone give me some tips for this set up?:joint:

keep low on nutes when you first plant them in the hydro. i hear all the time people nute burning thier plants at young ages. most recomend about 1/3 of a regular nute amount. and up it gradiaually with each feeding so that you are giving it a full amount of nutes when the plant is around 3/4 a ft or a foot. and ofcourse you are gong to have to dump all that water when you go to flowering.

do you have a ppm counter? to count the parts per million of nutrients? if not i would say get one. you might be able to find on sale for like 40 bucks but mine was 70, it is a nice one. but they all do the same thing.

hope that helps with how you are suppose to start with nutes and yound plants?

Thanks, that helps a bit and I had a guy over last night telling me a little bit of everything about growing with hydro too.

I will be posting some pics up when I get them all started =)
If I have any problems I will be sure to ask
