i kinda wish that too mississipi,,ill post some pics up of my plants when theyve recovered,,see what you people think of the outcome of triming the fan leafs off, what would of been small bud in the middle may become fat buds hopefully but we will see soon i supose.either way good or bad ill post up some pics,if id of been thinkin straight when i was triming them i woulda thought of leaving one plant to see the difference,i was more bothered about how my plants was starting to look as i cut the leafs off lol,not the same now when i look at them, kinda gutted but if it gets me a beter yeild then im happy :)

don't worry about the hijack thing. anyways yeah I had some big issues with powdery mildew in the middle stages of vegging, it was getting bad, starting on my lower fans and thickening up with this white moldy looking stuff. It was an easy fix for me, got lucky. I first tried spraying with skim milk, that worked for about a week. Than I went to the local hydroponic store and brought out the big guns. I used a spray by "safers" called " defender" I believe it's a mild sulfur spray. worked like.....it's never coming back again. Just though I would share what worked for me there.

Now there are other methods of prevention/eradication you may utilize. First using common sense you will want to lower your RH (relative humidity) as to get the moisture down in the air, it only promotes this issue. Second if you have 150 dollars approx. you can just go and buy a sulfur burner, these are found on ebay or at the hydro store. You run these at the dark cycle with your exhaust shut off until problem is gone, this is based on everything I've read about them I have not used one. Thirdly and the most key remedy, is just keeping your intake air fresh and bacteria free, keeping all your equip and room surfaces spotless. Grow room hygiene is the best way, but if you have to go to battle, try different methods until you achieve success. Start with the cheapest and easiest, moving up accordingly. Hope this helped you out.

If you grow organicly that will also kill all of the BENEFICIAL microbes and fungi in the soil.
If you grow with chemicals its less of a deal.

you definately dont want to mist them, with serenade on the leafs yes, but water NO, that would increase mold, and so would a humidifier, you want the humidity to lower, maybe you meant a dehumidifier?
