Ok so I'm wod420 and this is my first time grow. I sorta have pics of whats been going on in the Marijuana plant problems section, go figure!!

Here is the link to what has been going on for the past 15 days, Pics included:
https://www.rollitup.org/marijuana-plant-problems/412112-over-water-much-heat.html

I forgot to add what I'm using btw so Edit:
200w CFL
1 exhaust fan top back
1 fan inside on fan/plants

Soil
:
Peat, Perlite, Compost ( roughly a 50,30,20 mix)

Water
: (They only told me this)
PH in my tap water is a flat even, went to the water company and asked them.
Iron level is .2 ppm's
Hardness is 3.5 grains per gallon (if someone can explain if its good or bad, I'm not quite sure about the hardness i heard it could be good or bad)

Fert:
Fox Farms trio
Fish Em for added Nitrogen ( I heard somewhere FF has low N in the mix)

I have ordered a Ph meter to test my Ph in my soil

I would love any opinions you guys may have and let me know if I'm doing any good!

I am currently working on a flower box considering they all (if any are female) can't finish in this veg box of mine. They will get to big I think for even my veggy box! If anyone has any link to a decent budget sized flower box hit me up with a link please!

Here is the pics of them now on day 16, I just started week one for my schedule on Monday.pics 012.jpgpics 013.jpg

Thanks for looking and subscribe, I will keep you up to date

looks good man.

as far as a flower box... just build your own. that way you customize each little part of it to what specs your going to need.

good luck!

I have seen some really great home made Veg & Flowering chambers. Just remember to build it to be flexible for you in case you decide to change something around.

black bags are ideal just because if your root get big enough theyll be exposed to light.

I have 'real' black grow bags on order.n this will do for now. thanks for the advice, will keep in check with the space on my flower box.

so i ph'd my tap water and its around 7 even. I ph'd my nutrient/water mix and its at about 6.6. I ph'd the soil and its at about 6.5. I do believe i'm good on the whole Ph thing for now.

Edit: is there a good way to Ph your soil besides sticking your meter in the dirt? if so someone t tell me?ell

day 21: lookin good. got my second fan in the bottom now and it stays 80 constant. 70-75 when lights out. full circulation of air flow 24/7. Started big grow of the FF trio and they seemed to love it. can definitely tell the difference with the combo. I've also been adding a drop or two of fish emu due to low N.

day 23: i was finally able to move the light down since i got my second fan to keep it nice and cool in there. Closer the light the better, right? I can definitely notice that they are in the room now. its a noticeable smell of plants when you walk in ( assuming its a good thing). still on the big bloom/big grow/ fish em combo and they seem to be doing great. still working on getting a flower box going. have to soon I'm afraid. here's a pic of em, still no sex yet since they are on 18/6. hoping they are all female!DSCN0435.jpg

also, was wondering if I should trim these guys down a little, like the big fan leaves and such, if someone could help me out with that info. I already have FIM'd these but wondering on just regular maintenance with the size of em.

I would advise against removing fan leaves as they are the source of light absorption and store nutrients that the plant uses.

First of all let me say good job and good luck I'm subed
Your plants are looking very healthy and IMO pruning if done right could help the grow. I only do this once every two weeks and it seems they always come back strong. If you want to do this only cut leafs in the way of the light and in like 3 days you won't be able to say you cut anything and it helps Inner grow to develop. I only cut up to about 25% of fan leaves, that way I have plenty of light absorbtion surface left for photosynthesis. If you check my journal about a week ago you'll see I pruned the hell out of them a few days before fliping to 12/12 and today they look like if I hadn't done anything. Not trying to start an argument on the topic. This is only my 2 cents on something that works for me. :peace:

cool. thanks for the good advise. I'm gunna wait till they get a bit bigger before i do this. they are still a bit small but they are all very bushy. I'm assumming they will burst with growth once i hit the 12/12 breakpoint.

Update. day 26. trimmed alittle of the leaves blocking the underbrush, no big leaves were taken. i bent some over couple days ago ( lst ) and some just they way they are, gunna see the difference. I have thought and thought about it, but i'm not trying to get a crap load of smoke, this is just for personal use. so I'm going to start flowering and the end of the third week so 8 weeks total for this grow? any comments on that is that ok to do or should i just go the whole 12 weeks. I'm doing this for space reasons mostly. anyways here pics. can't tell if they are male or female yet ^.^ but they will show

nice grow im subd. id like to add in on the subject of pruning to provide light to lower nodes. the fan leaves provide sugars for the plant and give it energy to keep growing healthy so wat i like to do is take the whole leaf and fold it together if u will and make one cut across about 50 to 75 % of the leaf should remain and will reduce shade id do this to the top largest fan leaves and if ur plants are going to be that close together u might want to do it to some of the side ones as well cause looks to me they are growing more wide than up:leaf:

Update: day 28:

DSCN0447.jpgDSCN0443.jpgDSCN0446.jpgDSCN0445.jpgDSCN0444.jpg

Started week 3 yesterday. I fooled around with the whole bending the plants thing due to space reasons. I am doing this because i have decide to go ahead and turn this first round into a micro grow. I'm going to start the flowering cycle on day 30 or maybe wait till the end of the week. I'm going to stick with the florescent and the veg box this grow, and next grow i'm just going to do a 150 or 200w Hps rig 12/12 all the way. I'm going to take some clones once i know the sex to keep the strain going. anyone know what they are by chance? I'm sure i could find out but maybe someone is that professional to tell me what strain they are? hopefully i only get 3 fem out of the 6 plants because of the space issue. Maybe I can train the 6 of them to all fit in there thru flower but i doubt it lol. so far so good. They are drinking a lot now. I have been filling up a 16 oz water bottle and using it on all 6 of them. Now its 1 bottle per 2 plants. so 3 bottles total for all 6 of them. I been making sure by Ph is in between 5.5 - 6.0 with nutes/water because they are in a soiless mix. I have been using white vinegar, works very good you don't need to use alot of it.

my suggestion when training is to tie it down so it grows in a spiral if u can picture a pot with holes in the side of it so as it progresses tie it down clockwise good luck with scoring a female on all six
