First time grower....rockwool ??

The rock wool I'm using already had a hole for seed (they probably all do but I dont know) The hole is about a 1/2 inch deep....I cracked 4 seeds in water and put seeds into 4 seperate rock wools...should I have piched the hole shut to keep air out???? what I did was just push seed to bottom of hole and left hole open

You need to close the hole up mate, this makes the seed think its underground in darkness

I've left the hole open and never had a seed not grow fine. Good Lick

anyone else???

waht i do is make my own hole that fits tightly around the seed and make sure they are at least a cm under
also make sure the not side of the seed is facing up
