so what are ya doing for veg/flower? 2-6 weeks veg??
I don't really have a plan for veg, am going to wing it. Am going to scrog the kush and LST the skunk (and bagseed if it's still around). When they have grown to a decent size / kush fills out its screen, will switch to flowering. Right now they are 24 hours, but I might switch to 18-6 when the kush and skunk are a couple weeks old.

you urine project could work if you have beneficial bacteria to break down the urea into a usable form for the plant to use. if your soil is inoculated with mycorrhizae it'll help break it down. the black gold soil will probably run out of nutes sometime in flower. if you're planning on staying organic you can either uses teas, or make your own dirt. do you plan on using the cab for flowering too? if so, you'll need more light proofing. cardboard painted white with some duct tape works great for keeping it dark when it needs to be and stealthy when in use. my 1st grow was in a stacked sterlite. packed it with 600+ watts of cfl's. it becomes insanely hard to control temps without a good fan with that much light/heat, but it's worth it when you can stick 8 plants in there. more plants = more light needed.

this is a fun hobby and if you really get the bug, you'll end up like a lot of us that keep expanding. went from stacked sterlite containers with 600w of cfl's and 8 auto's to a 12'x6' room broken into a 4'x6' veg tent (using the same diy cfl fixture) and an 8'x6' flower room with 4 1k vertical bare bulbs alternating 2 on @ a once to light 4 bookshelves capable of holding 18 plants per shelf......yeah this shit is addicting.

the 1st 2 pics are what i started with....the last 1 was a test run before i added 3 more bookshelves. not a big pic taker and that was 6 months ago. good luck with your grow, it looks like you're well on your way to some good self grown buds.

Actually just found out about teas and think I might give it a try. Thanks for taking the time to post, love hearing about other people who have tried the tupperware set up and the advice is always more than welcome. I am already addicted and I hope to be able to move up to the type of size grow you have going on one of these days :blsmoke:

Here's a lil update on the plants. I might be posting a bit much but I can't help myself, this shit is so interesting lol. Feel my inner nerd coming out! I tend to pour over other people's grow and like the ones that are the most detailed. So much to learn from the smallest details, especially when you are new. Almost every piece of information is useful! Anyway...

Here is what we are looking like inside the box.

Today the skunk is 4 days old (counting from when broke through the soil). She is looking strong and sturdy to me. I've been slightly bending the stem in all directions. Read somewhere this helps to make it stronger so going to start doing it every morning now. I watered her yesterday, going to stick to an every other day watering.

Noticed that the Sour Kush has a green stem! Her soil level seemed a little low and I noticed her stem was not as straight as the skunk's, so I served her up with some dirt and packed it loosely to put her a tad more upright. She seems healthy though, sure I'm just overly tending her right now lol. Also gave her a little water since adding soil, but not that much since she was watered yesterday. Sorry about the funky font, couldn't do it like normal because the text was barely visible.

The bagseed seems like it's doing awesome. Once you have a nitrogen deficiency the leaves affected will not recover even when he plant is treated correctly, so her original leaves will probably fall off soon but I'm not too worried about it. The newer leaves are looking nice and healthy. I watered her yesterday and gave her a light mist today. I've been keeping the lights on 24 hours so figure it's a good idea to make sure the plants get some kind of moisture everyday once they reach 2 weeks. Honestly I think the 1:15 urine to water did her right!

That bagseed is fixing to EXPLODE! That's about when I would wake up and there would be 2 new nodes. they grow so fast @ that point because they have the leaves to support rapid growth. It's so cool. they all look really good lady!

I think the cfl's are better with the reflectors. It will focus a majority of that light right where you want it.

In my veg room I have the reflector on and it seems to reflect that light down the whole plant, lower branches too. In my flower room I wasn't able to put the reflectors on due to space, but I have 4x cfl's and I feel the light is too spread out.

Thanks for the pics, your plants are looking great. Ended up keeping the reflectors because I've read just what you said, it makes the light more concentrated on the plant. Only thing that sucks is my Y splitters won't fit underneath so I'll have remove the reflectors to add more light.

So the plants are looking pretty healthy. I still have them on a 24 hour light cycle for the time being but am probably going to switch to 18/6 in another week or so.

The bagseed looks ok and everything, but I really feel like she should be bigger than this! Have no doubt that nitrogen deficiency helped play a hand in her being so short. This is pretty much a guinea pig plant so I'm not too worried about it's growth. The good side is I'm learning what problems I might run into with the kush and skunk. I gave them a super diluted watering with urine (and I mean very diluted) because black gold soil has barely any minerals in it at all, just a small amount of nitrogen that apparently isn't enough in itself after the first week or so. Noticed one of the pre leaves on the Skunk was beginning to start the same yellowing process the bagseed went through so I felt I had no choice but to give some kind of fert. I know you are supposed to wait until at least the second week but I felt the risk of stunting my plants from no action was greater than giving them a very watered down source of nitro. The watering was yesterday and so far they are looking great. Am going to keep my eyes peeled for sign of more deficiency or nute burn.

Lookin good. They only say no nutes for 2 weeks because most medium has nutes added..
Ah ok good to know, won't worry myself so much then! Next time I'll go ahead and invest more money and get the Fox Farm soil / nutes but I'm dead broke this grow lol.

It's all good! I had too much money to spend so I did things all stupid. I should have just invested in pots, dirt, nutes, a tent, and a light. Instead I did about 50 extra things that don't matter and ended up costing me so much more.
