First time grower, doubts about closet setup / Extraction, help apreciated

Hi everyone

First let me apologise for my bad english, ill try to explain my setup, intencions and thoughts about what im hoping to be a reasonable "first attempt" in indoor growing.
Much of what I Know is from diggin various forums, reading a lot and watchin videos, being exhange some thoughts in portuguese forums but its time for some opinions because im kinda stuck in here :wall: Pretty sure that this has got to be tha place to be to solve this :finger:
Basically ive build a 2x2x4inches / 60x60120cm ´cab in MDF hoping this could be enough for maybe 2 plants, using a cooltube to drop temperatures from a 150w HPS,
The all ideia would be to hide this closet in a dresser.. as you can see by this photo

Ill be growin 2 Northern Lights Auto Fem from Nirvana and i me tryng to do all things right by the start.
Be using 120w CFLs 6500k for Veg and the HPS for flowering, gotta be careful with smell and energy consuption, so i decided for this setup, the dresser kinda acts like a sencond hide out and smell blocker for the closet , althougt i ll be leaving one door from the closet open for the exaust air coming from the tube and for the intake tube that will be conected to the closet.

Right now my cab is like this

My biggest concern is to where to put the extractor fan and the carbon filter, it would be great if i can squeeze them inside the closet, beacuse of smell and sound, but aparently there is no space.
Im about to buy an RVK E2A1 125 extractor fan with 220m3/h wich measures 25cm (large) 30cm (tall), and a 300 m3 coco carbon filter from Prima klima with 40cm heigh and 20cm width (large), so its total is 70cm heigh and 25 width. i ve only like 15 cm from the cooltube to the back wall and I guess i wont be able to rise the lamp much more than it is right now, like 40cm from ceiling

What can I do to suck warm air from the closet trough the cootube, passing the exaust tube to a carbon filter and beeing pulled by the extractor, all inside the closet?
I was thinkin in connecting a tube to the right side of the cooltube going towards the corner of the closet, connecting to the filter (inside the closet) and leaving the closet trougth the extractor, that is fixed on outside roof of the closet.. ive thoug of tilt / put the cooltube facing a corner, like crossed in the square..to leave more space in one corner..
but then i guess that simply putting both the filter can and the extractor outside the closet would be much simple but id love to put all thins inside tle closet.
Ive seen much "homebox XS", (that measures the same) but cant apply none of the setups ive seen to mey grow.
I'd love to hear from ya guys,

Hi there i personally think you should mount outside to give more room .
why are you growing 2 plants in there you will get just as much of one .give it the full light to itselve and i believe autos do better on a 14/10 light cycle but stand to be corrected.

HI, thanks pcman123, i guess ill be forced to do it, since the only way i can think of doing what i want is to put only the carbon scrubber inside the closet and the extractor on the outside, that stills brings mores noise problems.. and also it would creat many turns in the extraccion tube, so the air does not travel trow the tube so directly..

suggestions pleease !

Thanks

That looks like a one plat set up. that plat will have to be tied down at that. remember that your pot (container is going to be around 6 inches tall) so you will have to bend that girl to get her to fit in there. I hope you have a dwarf or low riding plant.

hi,
Correct me if Im wrong but Ive seen people with the same measures and growing 2, 4 plants.. this is the same as the Homebox XS. Yes im going to do some LST and i've prepared a net to die them down if necessary.
Any suggestions on how to put the carbon srubber and extractor INSIDE the closet? Thinking in puting the cooltube diagonally (each end facing one corner of the closet) or putting the filter on top of cooltube..

Opinions pleease
Thanks

Wow.. I have a good size walk in closet in my spare bedroom, and I just have a fan running and I leave the door slightly open in hopes to circulate air.. The temp seems to stay below 82.. Thankfully I live alone.. But after reading this about exhaust fans and what not, I might have to do some more investing in the future. :D

i have a cab with the exact same dimensions and 150 w hps as well. This is just from my experience with it. Heat will be your biggest issue. This has been consistent from other peole with the same size cabs so ventilation is by far the most important thing you want to concentrate on.

1. Try to keep everything out of the cab. Room is at a premium. The only thing you need for the cooltube is a fresh air hole and and an exhaust hole. keep the exhaust fan out of the cab. near the end of the grow you will lift your light as high as you can possibly get it.
2. How are you getting fresh air into the cab? you will need passive intakes. If there will be light around your cab you will need to make sure your intakes are lightproof. i would look at darkroom louvre and vents. The amount of air through a louvre that is light proof is drastically reduced to the size. If you have a 4 inch hole for passive intake you need at least 3 louvre to equal the amount of just the one hole.
3. The cool tube is good but it will still heat up the small cab. You will probably get into the mid nineties F without exhaust, which is why you need to have an exhaust on the box itself. I have a six inch fan (outside of the cab) with two 4 inch Y splitter, one for venting the light and one for exhaust for the cab. they vent out to a storage area.
4. put the filter at the end of the fan run unless it is small. then i might put it in the cab and suck the exhaust threw it as you will have some room in a top corner for a filter.

I had 3 plants in the cab flowering and it was tight. One bitch went hermie and two is so much better in there. I will do 2 from now on.
Here is my cab before i put the splitter on and added the hps (on top shelf). the only difference is the vent now has a splitter and two 4 inch hoses going into the cab. Good Luck.

Thanks for the replys,
been thinking and decided that im gonna try and fit at least the filter inside the cab, althought if that dosen't work ill put both extractor and fan outsidethe closet, in the dresser.
Beecee Im waiting to make the hole for the extraccion and know in wich side ill do another hole for the passive intake, that will not be covered because it wont receive any light.
I took care of the temperatures ( I hope) by chosing both fan and extractor with much more capacity that I actually needed for such cab.
Nice closet by the way, ill let ya know when i complete mine. Oh and im planning to grow only two gitls since its my first grow and want to see how much can I fit there in the future
Thanks for the advices
Peace
