Hi All.

New to the site and to growing. I have done a large sum of research and reading prior to starting my grow.

I am growing using bubbleponic way. I would appreciate the guidance and advice of any experienced growers.

I have 2 seeldings that are 1 week old and 1 seedling that is about half a week old (growing faster then my older two). The older 2 were started on 10/2.

As of now two of them seem to look visually healthy but one of them seems to be in trouble.

Basic info:

Reservoir Ph: 6.5-7.0 (sometimes it rises to 8 by itself. keeps rising by itself)
Temp:
72-85 F
Humidity:
36-48%
Lights=Dual Spectrum II High Output Fluorescent Bulbs
-Bulbs:
HighBays posts with Sunlite 120v SL85/65K DAYLIGHT and SL85/30K WARM WHITE

Light Cycle:
18/6 with autotimer. 18 on 6 off. 1 airpump with airstone wand= Running 24/7
1 water pump with a 6 hub feeder that has only 3 ports flowing= Running 24/7.

Have a fan above it all running 24/7

Setup= Stealthhydro's Dual Spectrum Bubbleponics Complete Kit

Ph Tester=
Milwaukee pH 600 Meter (Do I have to calibrate it each use? Ive been doing that so far with bluelab's ph 7 sol.)

Questions:

1. Stealthhyrdo's grow suggests introducing grow nutrients after 1.5-2 weeks with 1/4 dosage. I am planning on introducing them tomorrow or on Saturday. Is that to early? Should I wait longer? If so, when is the best time?

2. The plants seem to be growing towards the Sunlite "Daylight" white (the bulb on the right of the setup pic) more then the "Warm white". Stealthhydro's manual says to use both bulbs in both Vegetative and Flowering stages. Should I get another Sunlite "daylight" bulb and replace the "warm white" ? Or is this natural? Any info on this will be appreciated!!!

3. The seedling in the back that looks "troubled" with spots on tips of the 2 starter leaves (please excuse my incorrect terminology):

Why have the spots come on this one and not the other two? The roots are growing sideways and are now embedded in the rockwool. Will that cause problems? Should I remove this plant from the grow? Solutions?

4. Can anyone look at these pics and tell me if this is normal or "slow" growth for a 1 week old seedlings? Any comments?

5. Why does the PH keep rising by itself?

6. Only 1 root of the Strawberry has exited the net pot but it is not long enough to reach the 6gals of water as yet.

I REALLY APPRECIATE THE TIME OF THOSE WHO GIVE ADVICE! LIFE AND MULA SAVERS!!

Need a little more research, ph of hydro should be between 5.5-6.0. Once u do that they willl take off. Your question about nutes yeah i think you would be ok to give a 1/4 strength nute now.

Hey bro, i've been growing dwc for afew years now (got the threads to prove it, feel free to look em up) do as much research as you can! It's a beautiful, low maintenance setup (if done correctly) if done incorrectly it's a headache of constant Ph adjustment and fucked up plants.
First and foremost...I don't care what anyone says, but ditch the multi-site tote. These things are made by some money grabbing asshole and needs shooting for coming up with the idea. (my first grow was in a 3 site tote, never used that method again.) It's IMPOSSIBLE to maintain an even Ph/EC in that situiation, one plant starts taking more nutrients than the others, it gets stronger, the others get weaker, and it's just a shitfight to get any sort of balance. As for your questions:

1- Not too big on lighting, all I run is a 600W MH during veg and a 600W HPS during flower with great results. I'm sure someone can help you out though.

2- (As above sorry)

3, 4, 5 & 6- how do you know the roots are growing out of the side if they're in the netpot and hyrdoton pebbles? lol in other words leave them alone!! if you keep disturbing the roots your plant will take longer to grow, just leave it. As for your water level, have it around 5mm off the bottom of the netpot, your bubblestone should splash up enough water to just mist the roots in the netpot/hydroton til they hit the water level, from there slowly let it drop afew cm off the top.
Start feeding from now, and you had it spot on start at 1/4 strength. Leave it afew days, see how they look, give it abit more food, i'm sure you have some sort of feeding schedule anyways
