First time grow: Bubblelicious auto's

Hey gaiz, new to the site. I ordered some auto fem bubblelicious seeds from Nirvana. I germed the seeds in a paper towel and placed on my cable box. All 5 sprouted the next day. I planted them in organic MG potting mix(i know i know, it was a first time on a budget kinda thing) in party cups on 9/2 and they sprouted 9/5. They were outside for a day or 2 then I moved them indoors under a 27w full spec cfl. I want to say I transplanted them outside into 2.5 gallon buckets on the 19th but I am not 100% (didn't write it down) so they have been outdoors for 2 weeks give or take. They are 4 weeks old today. If I got lucky and they were true autos they should have preflowers by now correct? If not, when should a normal photo plant start showing sex? So cal growers can you help me out? According to the Farmers almanac we are getting 11:50hrs of daylight Sooo...why haven't they flowered!? Grr :finger: I am not using any supplemented nutes. All natural, water and sunlight. was thinking about using molasses but then someone mentioned ants. I will post pics tomorrow when I get the chance. They are looking healthy and my one fimmed beast is pretty bushy(I fimmed just one because they were autos and because this one was growing too big lol)

Glad to be part of the site :-P

it's a problem with the strain. most ppl growing it end up with either all males or an extremely looong flowering time.

I just went outside to check on the babies and they are all flowering! :) I think I may have a slight k deficiency( some of the fan leaves are browning/dying at the very very tip of the center leaf of a fan leaf...if that makes sense) But I don't think it's something to worry about. I will get pics up tomorrow fsure..its my day off.

Finally got a camera to use. They have been flowering for just under a week (5days give or take) I havent watered them for like 2 weeks (the sun wasn't out for like a week. And I think I over watered in the beginning and didn't let the roots search) I will probably water them tomorrow and hit them with some spinosad. I went outside and saw the first moth of the season. Grrrr. I do NOT want cats. So I am hoping they won't cause a problem by spraying the plants now when the buds are still small with little hiding space lol. One of my plants isn't as dark green as the others. It isn't that noticible...like one or 2 shades lighter..I don't think its a problem but what could cause this? (it does look like my weakest plant..hrm)

Updated pics. They are in their 3rd week of flowering. The last pic shows some possible pest damage? I couldn't find any cats and I have been spraying with spino, so maybe it died somewhere lol.

Bumppppp. I am having a problem with one of my plants(although they all look like they may slowly start to turn out like this one) What could this be? I am growing organic and have been using molasses every other watering.

I kinda thought that too. But it's just this one plant and it had this problem(very slight) while in its first week of flower. All the other ones look nice and green other than verrry slight yellowing on some fan leaves, which I do attribute to the flowering. This one just looks so sad  My poor girl

Tomorrow will be week 4 of flower. They should be done in about 4-5 weeks, just seemed too soon for it to start yellowing...

That's normal for a flowering plant. The buds are sucking all the juice out.
The brown spots are what's getting my attention. Usually, in flowering the leaves will turn a pale color, almost white. Now in my experience, brown spots are not "normal". They are caused by something else. I'm sorry I can't pinpoint the problem, just wanted to add that.

Maybe someone else will chime in? (calling vg)

ladies are looking fantastic other wise!

Thanks. From looking at pics I am leaning towards calcium or magnesium deficiency. Anyone with experience want to chime in? (just went outside to check them out again. Looks as if they are getting the brown spotting first, then its progressing to yellow)

after looking at the picture abit more, it's looks like an mg deffeciency(sp). Almost positive that's what it is.
Keep us updated

Bump. Anyone else? And what should I use to supplement it? I am doing organic but if something else is better I don't mind using chemicals on one plant to save it.

some epsom salts should fix it, I always make sure to use plenty of dolomite lime (lime + cal/mag) in my grows to make sure this sort of thing never occurs it also prevents lockouts due top ph fluctuation.

haha, I just looked through the threads and found it. Thanks :)

"This can be quickly resolved by watering with 1 tablespoon Epsom salts/gallon of water. Until you can correct nutrient lockout, try foliar feeding. That way the plants get all the nitrogen and Mg they need. The plants can be foliar feed at ½ teaspoon/quart of Epsom salts (first powdered and dissolved in some hot water). When mixing up soil, use 2 teaspoon dolomite lime per gallon of soil"

The part that confused me is the foliar feeding. Is it 1 teaspoon to a quart of water?

Plus rep to da both of you's. Will get some Epsom salt first thing tomorrow morning. I wish I would have done it sooner, but they didn't look that bad.

Watered all the girls with the Epsom salt and foliar fed the bad one. Hopefully I didn't fuck up the bad one, I used 1 teaspoon to a quart to foliar feed.

Those look nice. I just started my first auto flower grow with some cobra from flash. I didn't think they would get that tall. Thanks for sharing.

Im growing the same strain. Mine aren't as far along as your though. I planted seeds on Sept 11th & put them under 12/12 (heard issues with auto flowing so went on the time just in case) about 4 weeks ago.

Might have missed it. How long has it been since germination?
