There are about six thousand reasons leaves could be turning yellow. Also everywhere that I read said MG is shit for cannabis growing.

well its hard to answer your question at times because we dont see pic's and its hard to say what it is could be like 4 other things wrong with it... is it the 2 baby leaves on the bottom yellowing? because that is natural. are the leaves turning yellow on the edges? are they also have a little color change inside the yellow?

good to be honest 5 plants that 6" tall under 2 14 watt cfl bulb and the tube is under kill so bad =( should get a couple bigger ones. remember its 100 watt per plants then you can do 50 watt after that. with the nutrients. if you were using soil i wouldn't add nutrients until week 2.

go to walmart and buy the nutrients they sell there. its 2 of em one is bloom booster and the other is plant food. that will get you through your whole grow.

thanks. but the equivalent of the 14 watt cfl is like 75 watts right? and week 2 of what? and its not the first set of leaves its like the 4th or 5th set

Well my first though is about the lights. Plants want and need LIGHT LIGHT LIGHT. The higher the wattage the better. Hell I personally use a 1000 watt HPS lamp for about 8 or 9 plants. My instructions will be for if you are using a pretty high powered light. I'd get one and forget that little 75 watt crap. Use at least 600 watts. You want buds that will kick your ass don't you? If you're going to take the risks of growing,..do it right bro. Use big time lights. You can get a 1000 watt HPS for as little as $140. Check out this link: http://www.growlightexpress.com/grow-light-ballasts-3/1000-watt-ballasts-14/?zenid=lruu3t6u55u9sra31d04757893 As well as good lights you really should use good femanized seeds bought from a good source like The Attitude on line too. Again, if you're going to do it, do it right. See the "seeds" tab on this site for the links. I've learned that unless you use quality seeds you're going to run into issues. Anyway, once you get the plants going you keep them on a very regular watering cycle. That cycle would be watering thoroughly every third day and every other watering add nutrients. You can use plain ole Miracle Grow,..just follow the instructions on the box. It worked out fine for me. Be sure your container has good drainage with some rocks in the bottom. There should be holes where excess water can drain out. Just have something the water can drain into like a plastic lid or something. Plastic sheets on the floor would work too. If you see yellowing of the leaves as though they are burnt you might have an excess of nutes. If they are pale, you probably need more nutes. Water when your soil has gotten pretty dry on top but make it a very routine and regular cycle. A good check would be to stick your finger in up to about the 2nd nuckle before you detect any moisture. Your lights should be about 15-20 inches above the plants so you don't burn them. But again, I'm talking about a good strong light source. Use a pre-measured string to judge the distance. Keep moving it up as they grow. You'll be in the vegative state for about 8 - 10 weeks. Just keep them there until they are a nice size healthy bush..."tree". At that point you're ready for 12/12 lighting to induce budding. Do all this and you'll have it. Hope all that info helps. Keep asking questions. This is a great source of info and people will always answer. Good luck.

1) That "Grow Light" at Wal-Mart sucks.
2) Most Wal-Mart flourescents are T12's which put out about as many lumens as the moon. Through sunglasses. By a blind man.
3) Are you using junk soil? My first grow they yellowed because of lack of nutrients. The soil sucked.
4) Post pics.
