first time grow 16 by 16 room ak 47 clones

im thinking 4 1000 W lights using the bucket system. How long should i veg be4 flowering to get best yeilds? should i be worried about amount of power ill be using? first time grow thx

you shuold veg atleast until the plants are showing preflower this is different for each but 6 weeks if clones i go 7 nodes mininum, i like to go 18" min the more nodes the more bud sites, u have to get to know the strains u are going to grow to see how to trim or not for best results.

If this really is your first grow you have a huge investment. Anyways I dont want to be negative because you can do it. Read up on lollypopping and sog you are gonna want an even canopy. You might want to double your lights because I dont think 4000w is enough for that sq footage. When I get enough saved I'm gonna get the volksgarden If you have the money get it because it can handle like 80 small plants so 50 Ak47 should be ok. good luck

Jungle has no idea. 4Kw is PLENTY for that space. That's 1Kw for every 4'x4' area. And the size of your plants has to do with your grow style. If you're going SOG, you'll have shorter plants and more of them. If you're not wanting SOG, you can fit fewer larger plants in there. Of course, ultimately the height of the plants is limited to the height of your grow room, but you get what I'm saying (I hope).

Assclown MD if the room is 16x16 thats 1k for every 8x8 area 4k for 256 sq ft. Use 4 1ks and stadium the outside rows maybe, but you may not need all 256ft2, keep em close as comfortable. If you are going that big you need to utilize every lumen/watt. If you mean bucket dwc hydroponic system. You need to find out what style of grow you are gonna do before we determine how big to veg those girls. I say veg straight up 2-3 ft lollypop and flower spaced evenly and not to far apart keep close as comfortable you sould be stoked in no time.

so in that size room, would you recommend SOG or the bucket system growing them taller based on the strain im using (ak 47). if i were to do SOG how many plants would you do in the 16 by 16 room? orr if i were to use the bucket system growing bigger how many pants would you recommed in that size room? thanks

If i were to sog 16x16 I would get more lights. Using bucket dwc give every plant a square yard to finish flowering I think about 40 plants full size trees. Or fit more closer and lollypop and grow fat colas. I think i would go with a soiless mixture and follow botanicare nutes plan.

does ak 47 yeild well? i have about 9 or 10 feet ceiling. how long should i veg/ flower to yield the most. im gonna go with the bucket system hoping to fit about 35- 40 buckets( clones). What would you estimate total yield based on everything going smoothly?.. thanks for the replys

im having a friend thats done be4 help out.. just trying to figure out things , research ask questions etc. Any idea what i can expect for yield ball park

you should count on a pound per 1000w light, I personally would run the bucket system with about 6-9 plants per light in a 5x5 area, if you veg. to about 16" you should end up with about 30" bushes allowing good light penitration and minimalizeing alot of popcorn fluffy buds

plants double and triple in size during flower depending on the strain I think AK gets big. Yeild kinda depends on grower ak is bomb she'll put out just fine. Veg plant about 3 try to get a few nice tops on each plant trim off all the side branches so the plants focus on top cola growth now flower I think the going rate is 1-2 lbs per 1Kw hps. do it right you might harvest a bunch of 0z. colas or go for the wild look and see how much it would yield with no cropping and pruning techniques Christmas tree style. you may only have 6 feet of vertical space for growth which is plenty. ask the person you are getting clones from how much growth is expected after veg.
