First time ever growing....

I don't even know where to start, I will be receiving my ATF (Alaskin Thunder Fuck) and Purple Kush seeds on Friday... I'm sorry if this has been ask before...
But if anyone could be kind help me out that would be awesome... Here are my questions!

1. I will be growing indoors... What are "all" the products I will need to be successful in growing? (light, fertilizer etc) And if applicable, where can I get these products?

2. What temperatures can the two plants grow at?

3. What should I do exactly after I get the seeds this Friday? And what is the difference between males and females?

4. How "exactly" should I grow my plants? (hydroponics or in soil) And what are the difference between the two?

5. What are some do's and don'ts I should know about growing indoors?

6. How long would it take to grow?

7. Once its full grown how to I prepare the buds?

9. Could I continue growing with the original seeds, or is there a limited amount of bud I can grow with one plant?

10. Any other advice you can give me? This is my first time, it all of this is foreign to me!

I really appreciate all the help you can give me, thank you so much!

Hiya mate, Sum answers...

1. You need to decide where your going to grow... In a room, a closet, or a grow tent? You will need a light, some fans(exhaust and intake) you need to think if smell is goin to be an issue, if so you need a carbon filter, plant pots and soil if your growin in soil, really mate You could do with looking around the forum and having a read because there
Is so much you could get/need.
2. Grow temps want to be min of 60f when lights off and max of 85f Ideally when lights on.
3. If your ready to grow then go ahead and germinate, I get a shot glass with water in drop in the seed leave for aprox 24 hours and it should have sunk you may see shell has crack an tap root it showing, then I plant it in seedling soil and put in my grow tent. 4. The choice is yours, most people start in soil I think. Have a read and you'll know what best for you.
5. Too many do's and dont's, your guna have to read a bit I'm afraid.
6. Depends how big you want the plant. I'm going 4 week veg and about 8 weeks flowering do about 3 months start to finish.
7. Again have a read in to this, you have plenty of time.
8. Think you forgot question number 8?
9. Not sure what you mean by this question, sorry.
10. Yeah your going to need to have an extensive look around and read some threads, some of the guys on here are pure genius and there are so many ways to do things. Have a look around and you will soon be able to answer most of these questions yourself. Hope this helped a little anyway. Peace

smokey is right on. There really isn't too much I can add, so I'm only going to reply to some of the questions since smokey pretty much covered everything:

1. Check out your local hydro shop, they sometimes have a lot of used equipment you can buy for cheap. There are always vendors online you can purchase from HTG supply seems to be fairly priced. But remember if you are in a state where growing is illegal like I am, do not ship to where you are growing at and do not use a credit card linked to your name and address.

4. I started off using Rockwool and Hydroton, you have more control with the nutrients this way, but it is less forgiving. I know of a lot of people that go with soil the first go around, it seems to be more forgiving. I now use a soil less mixture called sunshine mix #4. I mix perlite and worm castings to it then use advanced nutrients. Seems to work great for me.

5. Yeah, there are a ton of do's and don'ts. But a good couple of key points to remember are: PH is extremely important, and ph level's differ if you do a soil grow or a hydro grow. Know what you are going to do and then do the research on the PH levels. Spider mites are a pain in the ass, it is better to do preventative maintenance on bug control then trying to get rid of them once they appear. Always be proactive when it comes to bugs. I would recommend reading the FAQ section or watching Jorge Cervantes Ultimate grow helped me a lot with I first got started.

6. Grow times are different with every grower. It depends on what you want to do. I have a limited grow space so I do a sea of green grow. I veg for about 3 weeks then flower for 8 weeks.

7. I can write a full book on this subject, basically though you need to know how to harvest, dry, and cure your buds. Glass mason jars will be your best friend.

9. Not quite sure what you mean on this question either, but if you grow one strong healthy female plant in the veg room, she will become your mother plant. You will never have to flower this plant b/c you take all your clones off of this one and you flower the clones once they are ready.

10. Just keep on doing research. knowledge is power and I never stop learning about newer and better techniques on growing.

Once again much appreciated thanks for the extra feedback Mbow6241... So I was figuring I'll start by making a few purchases... Do you think the following items will be a good start, for growing?

For my lighting set up Also, what led wattage would work best for ATF and Purp...

BTW I am not going to mix the seeds, I'm planting them separate of course.

Rock Wool

I really don't know what size pots I should get... But I do know I'm going to use the Widow Maker method to germinate my seeds.

What other products do you think I should get? I should say I'm on a budget of $100 to $150 bucks...

But I am trying to emulate "Rollitups" System which I found on this site.

There's not any hydro shops here... Walmart, Home Depot, Lowes and Osh are what we have... Also how could I measure my PH?

not to be rude, but if you can type it here, you can search for it. all of this info is elsewhere on this site and many others. save yourself and others some time and do some research.

Ideally mate, you want to get a digital PH tester which comes up on a display what you PH level is accurately, if your on the skint, the you can get PH test kits for a few quid :) this come with a little test tube and PH liquid, simply get a sample of water, add a few drops of the liquid, shake and it changes colour, from that compared to a colour chat you can work out your PH level. As far as I know, most go by light green being where your money is (at least that's how mine are lol). Anyway, you need to get the PH level right or you'll kill your babies in no time, so best to check your water first, if it's too high or low, then you'll need to get some PH up'ers or downers, seems expensive but worth every penny when you pull out some niiiceee Ganga :D

Hope this helps,

Happy Growing,

Rob

Thanks Rob, I found a good hydroponics spot in my area... They're going to sell me a grow light starters kit, I will most likely be picking it up next week...

In the mean time, will this be sufficient for a grow room? I have video.

My suggestion would be, lower the light to between 1/2ft - 1ft of the top of the pots... make sure it's not to hot on the top of the pots and soil, and more importantly, get a cheap desk fan in there for air circulation, just blowing over the tops of the pots gentally. you mainly need it for the humidity, or you will find the soil wont dry out properly and you'll have problem. after that, by the looks, your sorted for a week or 2... Hope this helps you out some mate,

Take it easy and good luck,

Rob
