Hey Everyone

I am a complete newbie to DWC but I have constructed a recirculating cabinet system: My Recirculating DWC Scrog Cabinet

And I have just started my first grow: My first ever DWC ScrOG Cabinet Grow

I have posted this on 2 sites so far! Roll it up and Oz Stoners

But I havent had many replies at all and I am really starting to freak out! Because this really is a grow of firsts for me! The only way I have grown in the past is "Guerilla Gardening" haha I think thats what its called anyway! But now I'm taking on Hydroponics! And the advanced looking techniques of ScrOG and its all in a stuffy cabinet! ....Oh and I also was thinking about keeping a Bonsai mother in a hydro-culture pot! So I'm really scared that this is gonna severley crash and burn if I dont get some sort of help and feedback! ....You all must know the paranoia that goes with first time grows??

Please Help!!

looks like you got the right Idea for the most partbut you gonna want those fans blowing between the tops of the plants and the light. that light is going to create a heat issue so your gonna need to vent it out of the cab and have an inlet to bring in fresh air. + reps for the effort and design for sure.

Yeah it has a passive vent on the bottom left side of the cabinet the exhaust fan creates quite a bit of suction through it ;-)

I did temp tests which i posted earlier on and it seemed a bit on the high side (max 30-31 C) but I should get away with it!

Do you think the fans will create a very big problem? I did think of that but I cant figure out how to get them up there! :eyesmoke:

I thought just angling them upward might do the same thing? I thought that this way they are blowing cool air up rather than blowing hot air down? Does this make sense? Or do I really have to figure something out before I grow in here?

Cheers mate

thats cool I didnt notice the vent. I guess the fans are up to you I have heard that you shouldnt have the fans pointed directly at the plants but Im not positve as to why. I use an oscilating fan inbetween the lights and the tops to move the hot air from getting to intense right at the tops.

Hmmm I guess they will be ok how they are for the start but when they get bigger I may have to sort something out! I guess I'll just have to wait and see :)

Thanks for your input mate

I have been told that the reason for not pointing the fans directly at the plants is it can create wind burn and over drying in spots . cant swear by it but makes sense

Ahh ok yeah it does makes sense. I may have to turn them to low at the start (bit scared cos of temps) before they reach the screen.

But I've read that in flower you want to eliminate damp spots in the canopy? haha which also makes sense (budrot, mould).

I have aimed the circ fans at eachother so hopefully it causes even turbulence where the air meets in the middle.

Thanks for your input bro bongsmilie
