First time grower. I just topped and cloned my ladies for the first time. I felt guilty as hell!!!

I topped the orange and blueberry. They were significantly taller than my OG Kush and PE. I grabbed 2 clones off the 4 plants. I have a Mazar that I know nothing about that is 3 weeks younger than the rest. I'm still trying to decide if I want to keep that strand going. Might clone her next week. She's still pretty small.

I cut at a 45 degree angle, split the stem in two, dipped in clone X gel, and put in my pH adjusted rock wool. They are now in a humidity dome with a heat mat underneath.

Can I start flowering next week, or should I let them heal? I felt terrible topping them! My room is only about 5 ft tall.

when you clone dont forget to scrape off he 1st layer of green from the stem so that will help stimulate new growth (roots), your plants look awesome.

Thanks Mr. Cannabis!

It was hit or miss on that step. I gave a couple a few scrapes. I should have written down which ones I did. Will the ladies I topped be ready for flower in 7 days?

Looks marvelous. I too will have to do the same shortly here. I will be taking one plant down to about 5 clones. So imagine that lol. Your plants look great man. Very lush and green. Good luck.

Thanks! I've grown tons of plants that weren't MJ. They look good to me so far! It'll be fun getting the first one under my belt so I can start experimenting.

Your plants look great! I'm watching your thread to see what the experienced say about when to start your flowering because I am curious as well..

Yeah, no hits so far. Woke up to only one laying over dead clone so I guess that's a good thing. I'll cut another tonight.

Is it not fair to expect a 100% clone rate?

I'm topping my ladies tonight so I'll be there with you. Not using the cuttings as clones tho...since i have no where to put them.

Clones need moisture rich air.

dont spray your clones directly with water , instead spray your dome lid.

Only resaturate your rockwool once its dried out a little.

No need for the heatmat.

Some clones do lay over on their side and then usually perk back up.

I have topped and waited 2weeks to flower, also have topped and waited 1day to switch to 12/12.

Its all personal preference.

Depending upon how much space/light you have will determine when to switch to 12/12,

good job dude. those plants are vibrantly green and look very happy.
clones drink through their leaves - try spraying the underside of the leaves where most of the stomata are. that'll jump them right back up

Thanks for the compliments and responses! I freaked out a little this morning and tossed the dead looking clone and grabbed a new one. Ha ha. I sprayed them directly with water this morning, so I'll make sure I don't do that again. Thanks!

I have about 3 feet left (going up) of usable space. Looks like flowers will be in my near future! I already have female pre flowers on my Kush!

J, thanks for the detailed response. I thought clones liked 80 degree plus temps?
