. It looks like pre-female flowers. I cant see any pistols yet, from my experience my males always show signs of sex before my females, also the males smell after they are about 2 weeks old, and the balls are an easy give away. If your plant is past 25 -30 days or so of 12/12 and u don't see any balls it probably female.Looks real good! u should be seeing pistols in a day or two.

Frist week of flowering to the day,just starting to smell in the morning. They are about 9 weeks old right now, vegged for 8 weeks to try and get some clones going. thanks for your advice, so wait a week to see if some balls formno worries

Yea not looking good. But i might be wrong. I know a lot depends on the stain i guess but my females wont start to smell till they are well into their flowering cycle. My males start to smell at 2 weeks because i am doing 12/12 from seed.

i think its just the strain. I am growing commercial pot. Using 2700k and 12/12 only to prevent stem growth and flower as soon as possible. I will start to mix the spectrum more sense i will be scrogging from now on i think.. HomeDepot has a 150w hps in a box already with a 120v cord for $40 i am looking into.

I think you have your lights positioned fine. I actually love your setup. However, I do think you should look into more full spectrum (5500k-6500k) lighting for vegging.

. I have 2 tubes that are 6500k but they suck. They put out about 1500 lumen each. Not running them now though. This is still my beginner light setup, as time goes on i will switch to hps and mh. Have to use a lot of cfls opposed to one hps. Hps and mh would be a lot easier to work with.i plan on scrogging from now on so we'll see how the cfls do. Cant wait to chop that big female down and looking forward to keeping my plants half that size, it is easier to setup cfls for a shorter more confined (scrog) grow.

Hoping the 2 plants tied down are female. I am pretty sure they are. The 2 on the right smell a lot, pretty sure they are male. We'll see i guess. i have more sprouting to replace the males that turn up in that bin.

That bin scrog is going to be craziness!One thing ill never forget from this grow is not to transplant commercial/long flower-time strains if you are wanting to see results in a timely fashion (not sure about autos). My big female restarted its flower cycle, it wont triple in size but it is going on 3 weeks of slow stem growth. She still looks healthy, had to top most of the colas, running out of vertical space.
New plants are filling in great. Still waiting to see signs of sex due to the transplant
. My first set of plants were never transplanted before sexing and i was able to sex them between 22 - 28 days. The new plants are at day 31, still going to be 3 or 4 days till i start seeing the sex. Good thing is, I am able to sex my plants by the smell. i was 5 for 5 on my first set of plants.I should rename my thread "the joys of growing commercial".

Hey man, just read your whole thread, nice job man. I am doing my first grow also with 6 42w cfl in rubbermaid grow box with some Bagseed, I just started flowering and my plant looks alot like yours so I'm getting a little worried about height. did trimming the fan leaves help with the height? Also I thought fan leaves help with the budding? Don't they take the stored up sugars or whatever from the leaves? Isn't that why some leaves die while in the budding process? Just curious...... but eitherway we will find out soon lol
