Just an update....my special liddle lady is just keepin on keepin on. She isn't growing vertically anymore, but it seems that her buds are getting much bigger (or maybe it's just in my mind). Besides that, I have a few pics of trichomes that I took with my macro lens....I think it's just as good as me getting some jeweler's loupes! It seems that they are still all clear. So, any thoughts? advice? criticisms?

host the pic on a free site like photobucket. click the insert pic next to the little globe then insert the image url in the box.

Hey guys,
Not too much new here...she's ripening as we speak :) Sad thing is that I will be leaving town for a week at pretty much the worst possible time (now). I think I will start flushing tomorrow before I leave as I think she will be ready to harvest in a week or so since I read that AFs ripen quick-like. Obviously, I'm worried I'm gonna fuck it up....but that's the way the cookie crumbles.
I'm gonna try my system for auto-watering using my tiling water pump again. It worked pretty well over thanksgiving except for the pH issue (which I will try to account for this time). If it works, I may have made a huge breakthrough in auto-aerogarden technology :hump: So...am I crazy? Any chance this will work? Here are some big pics of my baby, which hopefully won't be the last good ones I get:

Wow, I go on vacation for a week and somehow this place survives without me! Anyways, so my girl lives on despite a week of neglect. My watering system kinda worked, but it must have dumped too much water in early in the week because she was dry when I got back yesterday. I am a little bit frustrated because she had lots of cloudy trichs when I left last week, and so I started flushing her then, but I still don't see many amber trichs (maybe like 1 out of 10). It's crazy to me because she has so many trichs but I really would like a bit of couch-lock with my ganj. Any ideas? I figure I regardless have to harvest in the next few days since she has already had about a week of flushing and I don't want to go backwards. I will probably start a 24 hr darkness period tomorrow. But any ideas on how to get these things to get a bit more amber first?? Thanks, and glad to be back.

The seasoned growers on here will tell you that they are crap, I see where they are coming from, now that I understand the basic physics of the AG I believe I could have set something up from scratch much more cheaply, but the AG helped me learn that, but I have seen good results with very little modification, the more you add to it, the better your results will be. You need some kind of supplemental light, and if you grow more than 1 -pant in your aero garden you will need at add a aquarium air pump and airstone to your aerogarden to prevent root lock. The biggest drawback of the aero garden is the limited amount of space available for plant roots. You can pack in more roots than you can with soil, but you need to get lots of Oxygen in there for them.

Hmmm....you both have great insights into to possible value of using an AG for growing, I was really hoping someone who DOES use them could help me out....

Hey Richy, that second pic from the bottom looks to have quite a bit of amber on it. If you want to, throw her in the dark for 24 and then chop that bitch!!! lol

You pretty much hit it on the head. The AG is perfect one good sized plant. If you have a couple good air stones then once you get the roots in the water turn off the AG pump and grow like it is a DWC. The only other thing I would add to this is
Hygrozome is your friend in the AG. +rep my friend

Dude check out my sig. I got over 90g off my first grow. 77 of that was from one plant (I severely stunted one thats why you only grow one at a time).

Sup Assassin! I was waiting for you to chime in  I am using a Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro lens. It's the shiz! And I bring out my best game when it comes to taking pics of my baby.

And K, I have had her in the dark for about 36 hrs and I think I'm gonna chop her in a few hours. Am I the only one who feels bittersweet about this moment? I mean, I feel like a parent killing his child for personal gain. I will probably be crying when I cut the first branch :( I'll post some pics of the carnage soon....
