First SOG (Sea of green) grow

So I don't have a lot of experience growing, but I know the basics. I've grown some decent plants under a single 150 watt cfl bulb, but my new living arrangement leaves me with less height to work with, so I want to try SOG finally. Since I don't have any experience growing SOG, I'm assuming I could get away with 6 plants flowering at 1 plant per square foot and under a 150 watt bulb to get a decent yield. Yield is not very important for me because I just grow for personal consumption. I've gotten 6 ounces dried under that amount of light before so that's why I figured 6 plants would be ideal. I was also considering 4 plants with some bigger colas but I'm not sure there would be enough plant cover for the SOG method if I only have 4 plants. Anyway, I tend to ramble so I'll end my post saying that any advice or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I don't have a new setup yet since I had to get rid of my last one, so I can't post pics, but I'll definitely look into that. Thanks for the advice
