First SOG help

I just started to germinate 5 new seeds and I was thinking about trying a SOG this time. I have a 5x5 tent with 1000watt hps and already have the net for the tent. I was searching for a guide or tutorial on how to SOG but I can't find anything. When should I put the net up? In veg or flower? BTW it is a soil grow. Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated I am still pretty new to growing.

I believe what your asking about is called a scrog. Screen of green.

You want to put the net ( you want it to be sturdy and secure) up in veg and then train the plant(s) to stay growing under that until it's time to flower.
