My little guys are looking bad. Hes what I know. Afgan Kush... Planted in rockwool on 3/4 first signs of life on 3/8. Transplanted into E&F 7 days later 3/15...??? Too Soon???

Seemed to be doing well for the first few days...then I woke up 3 days ago and saw slight yellowing droppy tips on second set of leaves. Checked my ph and it was really low 4.3. Adjusted the ph. Growth really slowed but still seems to be growing. Ive now got a few spots on them and doesnt seem to be getting better.

I'm watering for 15 mins every 4 hours.
No nutes yet..ordered fox farm trio, waiting on delivery.2012-03-22 14.11.00.jpg2012-03-22 14.10.44.jpg

I'm new to hydro and these are just a test to see if I want to make the switch. Any suggestions/advice would be great.
Thanks in advance.

Get your ph in check. Maybe with it being so young it would be better to go 3 minutes every hour. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, just seems like 15 minutes is too much at once for a young plant that is already stressed.

At this stage your nutes should be ABSOLUTE MINIMUM.

They look like they need nutrient. Give them seedling strength and increase your aeration.

Could you suggest a timer that has that many options? The best one I could find only had 7 settings.

Anyone else agree? Less water more often?

When you say increase aeration what exactally do you mean? It in a 2x3 tray filled with hydroton, 15 gallon res with 8in air stone...bigger air stone?

Yes. Increase surface agitation in your res. Get a waterfall going in there if you can.

Well the tray fills in about 45 seconds and the overflow tube goes all the way into the res. So if I cut it shorter so it pours into the res. Im sure that will help? Along with another 8in airstone.

Yeah, do that. A return line creating a big splash at your res surface is better than air stones.

Try flooding once an hour for 10 minutes each hour. If not, try 15 on 45 off.

you need to get and adjustable cycle timer(works by designating how long you want it on then how long you want it off... there about $65 but def worth it... i tried aeroponics for my first grow and hated all the equipment and stuff i needed so i recently switched to hempy buckets... a cycle timer will allow you to do increments as low as 15 secs or as high as a few hours...
