First Scrog

Hi Team, I'm getting ready for my first attempt at a scrog.
I've got 20 square feet of space (1.4m x 1.4m) and 16 cob LEDs, I'll be using 4 plants so there will be 4 LEDs over each one. I'm planning to make 4 screens which will just fit into the space, so they'll be about a 700mm square (27"). I like smart pots, and I'll have an automated watering system that I'm happy to mess about with until I get it right.
I've got 2 questions, if anyone can help me out:
1. How long should I expect it to take to fully veg up squares of that size?
2. Is there any reason (other than cost) why I shouldn't use the biggest smart pot that will fit under the screen? I've found some that are 550mm in diameter and 300mm tall, and they will hold about 60 litres (that's around 16 gallons, for those who don't get metric).
Oh yes, it's Strawberry Kush from ILGM.

Veg time can very but usually I'd say filling the screen could take 4-5 weeks. I just did my frist SCROG and I recommend that you keep tucking the plants UNTILL the screen is about 75% full then flip the lights. I flipped when the screen was half full and wound up with a lot of empty screens.

Be sure to top like a mother fucker

Thanks for that Ed.
Any reason not to use monster smart pots? With 5 weeks of veg, I'm hoping to develop some big roots, just wondering if 16 gallons might be OTT?
