Here's a pic of our first canopy vegged for 20 days and about 28 days after 12 12 switch. PPM has been slowly adjusted throughout the grow from 300 to 850. This is half our flower room.

Let me know what you think and if I missed anything. I know I probably forgot something.

Construction: Figured I would post a few pictures of before and after, and the process of building the grow room. Its been about 6 months total working on and off, and now its time to put it to the test. Lots of insulations, poly shield, wood, sweat and blood.

Update:
Here's a few pictures of what were working with. We basically have a daisy chain of wort coils being fed from our chiller. There's a bypass Valve in our res so we can drain water, or recirculate it to the system, and a gate valve to controlled the flow when roots start to back up the system. The cool-tubes are all pipes into a box we built that's being pulled by a 800 CFM centripetal fan, and it thrown back into the air-intake for the house. We set up a irrigation system for the veg room to water clones while there trying to establish there root system. Just built the new cloner, cant wait to try it :P. The only problem I see us having is the height restriction (we trained them like hell), so hopefully they will focus more on bud production rather then vertical growth at this point. Let me know what you think, and if there's anything I am missing!:weed:

A little update on our progress. Tested the new cloner with some shoots we took from our flower room and it seems to be working nicely. The plants have slowed their vertical growth, and have started to fill out. The buds look like they are going to be pretty dense with the close separation. Think I will have enough height from the cool tubes? I'm guessing ill be able to get around 6 inches from them. Feel free to leave some feedback.

Here's a few new pictures of how the grow is going. The veg plants have really taken off, so we will probable be cloning and switching them to the flower room in a few days. The plants in the flower room are really starting to fatten up, and have started to get frosty.

Also ordered some Hanna Conductivity Controllers, PPM Probes, and some dosing pumps to hook up. Since our res size is so tiny, I usually have top off the nutes everyday which can be tedious. So now we are going to have it automated so I can spend more time with the babies . Our dosing pumps are a little fast, and since our system takes about 15 mins to recirculate this could cause problems, so we might end up watering down the nutrient solution if that is the case. Any feedback would be appreciated :P.

Finally wired up the dosers, and everything seems to be running smoothly. However the PPM's from the doser probes are constantly moving around, unlike my Blue Lab probe which remains constant. I think it is due to the recirculating water, but I am not positive. But I am going to have to test out a bit more before I actually start having it dose. We took some clones off the vegging plants, and then transplanted them in the flower room. Also picked up some DinaFem Shark Attack seeds, they are a little shorter which should help our height problem. Other then that, the buds are really starting to look good.

I'm digging your setup. Looks very clean and organized. It really looks like you have a lot figured out, I like the use of space. I don't know much about hydro, but your setup looks legit. I am new to scrogging, but very new to growing, too. It's great seeing such a nice grow on here. I'll be watching.

Thanks man! Here's a few more pictures of our progress. I've been adding nutrients instead of flushing every week, and ended up having way to much nitrogen in the mix. The leafs are pretty dark, and some are clawing. Flushed them out and reduced the ppm a bit, and I am going to up it with shooting powder throughout the week. The plants directly under the lights have a little bit of light intensity burn / heat burn, but we are just going to have to ride it out. In the other system we started them a much earlier, so hopefully we wont have this problem. Also mounted the doser motors, and ended up piping the ppm meter into the bucket so the ppm would stop fluctuating from water flow. Once the john guest bulkheads come in we will get that up and working. Finally, the LED's in the Blue Lab Guardian started to go out, so we gave them a call and they instantly sent out a brand new and told us to keep the old (now that's customer service :P). New clones are vegging now, around 300 ppm - 6.0 ph. Let me know what you think!

PS: I'll try to get some pictures without the HPS bulbs yellowing everything out.

Wow, just wow... everything looks awesome! that is really cool about the meter - not the issue you experienced - but that's the kinda customer service i like to hear about. I'm sure you are stepping up the standards for some others with the way you have things so legit, and it's nice to see you sorting out the little issues that arise with a new setup. soo just wondering, do you have any experience in soil? and how do you like doing things DWC? looks a tad more involved and pricey, but hydro always catches my attention with the growth rates and controllability. I noticed you didn't post the dimensions of your grow space either, I'm just trying to get a better visual in my head of how the entire area comes together...
anyways, I am sure others will chime in soon - I know i'm not the only one fascinated with your setup. Good luck on everything and I'm subscribed and watching. Don't be discouraged with the lack of responses, a lot of lookie-loos.. I just couldn't bear to see such a great setup with literally no responses.. I'm somewhat new to the growing scene, but I can tell you seeing a setup like this is a breath of fresh air. Keep it up!

I don’t have any experience with soil, but I love DWC systems so far. As you can see I am growing in an attic, so trying to get messy soil up and down would be pretty horrible. Even getting the co2 tank up is a chore, so in a few weeks I will be investing in CO2 NG generator. Also our mini-split doesn’t have an auto restart, so any power outages or surges means it will not kick back on. Within an hour temps get to about 120 degrees in the summer. Finally fixed that though by wiring a UPS backup battery to the microprocessor in the unit, that way it saves the state it’s in. We also added some probes that will send text alerts if temps or humidity go out of range. But overall it’s pretty easy when you can just turn a valve to fill or empty the entire system. Once you get all your ppm’s locked in for your strain it should be a walk in the park :P. The height from the very center top is about 5 ft, so there is no standing in the grow room. The main problem we have been having is the height issue with the plants, but that should be solved with reducing vegging time. We are going to be switching to Dinafem Shark Attack soon though which is less stretchy and much more bushier, and trying Lucas formula to save some cash on additives. I bought a USB Microscope x200, so once that comes in I’ll be sure to update with some new pics!

Found two nanners / bananas today on the top of a bud. Used some pluckers and water to pull if off, but I am a little bit worried about things getting pollinated. I've read that they are stress / gene related, and that they can and cannot pollinate your buds? We are still at least two weeks away from harvest, and if anyone has some insight on it that would be great . Here's a few new pictures with the lights off.

Well started finding small seeds developing on the lower nodes of the plants. I am guessing some of the nanners blew pollen everywhere, and with our airflow I am pretty sure everything has been pollinated. We ended up clearing out both systems, and harvested a bit early. We fixed some of the problems like light leak from LED on surge protector, high nitrogen, and a few other things so hopefully nothing will be stressed next time. Going to be switching to dinafem shark attack maybe with a new log. Wish us luck :P
