First sativa grow, dark brown and white pistils?

First time growing something other than a indica dominant. It's blue dream from Humboldt and has been in flower for 42 days. Usually by the time I see pistils this brown I have no white hairs left. Yet here I have a mix, sorta both ends of the extreme. Anything to be concerned about? It's under the spyder x plus LED grown on a flood table using general hydroponics flora series.

6 weeks does seem a bit early for that many brown hairs but with lots of fresh white ones standing up the buds are still popping out flowers. What is supposed to be the total flowering time for that strain and are they grown from seed or clones from the same mother?

If seed grown then some will likely mature before others depending on how stable the strain is the seeds are from. If clones from the same mom they should all be the same but things like location in the grow room can influence plants too.

Checking out the trichs is what you want to base your time to crop on. I chop mine when there is almost no white hairs anymore and the trichs are 50/50 clear/cloudy with maybe a few amber ones here and there tho I don't wait for lots of amber.

Looking good!

Humboldt advertises 9 to 10 weeks. But from my experience when a seed company says 9 to 10 weeks it usually means 10 to 11 weeks. They were all taken from the same mother. I always go by trichs as well, but the little crown of white pistils on top makes me think they still have another 6 weeks, were it not for the dark brown pistils. That's my dilemma. It's like different parts of the plant are maturing at a non uniform rate. The blueberry smell is very nice though.

Have you searched thru the buds carefully for 'nanners? Pistils will shrivel and turn brown after pollination. Hope that's not the case but it does happen and sativas seem more prone to it than indicas.

I always add a week or two to advertised flower times too and that's the way it usually works out. I used to grow pure Kali Mist and that went 14 weeks. Crossed it with NL#5 and it still took 12 weeks but took the edge of the buzz so I didn't have minor anxiety attacks every time I toked a bit too much. By too much I mean a little bit bigger pinch in my pipe then normal. Works great for my depression tho as did the cross.

I'm wondering how long my current grow is going to take to finish. 54 days now and very little new hairs but no red ones to speak of and trichs are almost all clear yet. First time I've run this cross so taking notes for the next run. Some buds I trimmed off the bottom are almost dry and test hits in the pipe are tasty and the buzz is fine. :) Hoping the phat colas are yet to finish putting on weight or trichs as they are getting really frosty now.
