Not alot has happened in the last couple of days, but I thought I would drop in with an update. My little skunks aren't getting any taller, but the first real set of nodes is developing nicely on both of them. I must have damaged the other one when I planted it; it never came up. I got a couple free beans today, something called Short Stuff's auto assassin...Anyone ever heard of it? I'm gonna start them germing tonight and see if anything good happens.
My middies however, thats another issue. The short bushy little one, the pretty one, did something really wierd the other day. I went out yesterday to water and she looked idk, kinda wilty. The soil was dry so I gave them some water. The next time I checked on them almost all of her leaves have turned crispy. They are still a pretty green, but dead. It's the strangest thing...Anyone have any idea what's up with that?

Well, the little crispy sprout is officially dead; I have no idea what happened. Anybody have any ideas? I planted another middie, another skunk, and 2 of Short Stuff's Auto Assassin into rockwool yesterday. I have them under a dome in the veg room. I have never done autos before, I'm kinda excited!

Not sure why it would have died so soon :( Too bad..

I think I've posted my grow journal in the wrong forum, not that this is not a RIGHT place to post it, but as you can see, the traffic in the CFL growing subforum is very low, I'm barely getting any responses in my threads..

I was wondering if you guys think or feel the same way.. I kinda wish i made my journal in a different section of the site that gets more traffic...

I've wondered that too, if I was in the wrong place. I just figured that mines a new thread, only 3 pages and I should be patient. U think we should just give up?

One of my auto assassins is starting to sprout! I can just barely see the little stem trying to push its little head up through the rockwool. I'm so excited! I hope its female...

:)! Sounds great!

I'm not sure about even keeping my thread going at this point.. I'm not getting any responses really, and if anything it's probably not the best idea for me to post pictures of this on the net :\

you'll get more out of this site if you ask specific questions. do i have enough light? is ph 8 too high? and it really helps if you include pics even if you think you've described the situation well. if you want general opinions on your grow you need to list all of the important conditions - growing medium, nutes, lights, ventilation, watering schedule, age of plants, strain, ph, temperature.

it also really matters when and how you post. most people who are helping others use the "new posts" button, bypassing the individual forums. and since a post lasts only 10 minutes or so on the first page of the new posts your issue is going to be buried within a half hour. that's your window, if you haven't got a response within an hour to 90 minutes just add a new post to the thread to bump it back up to the first page of the new posts.

Hey all, just thought I'd share an update. My two autos have sprouted and they are 1/2 inch and 1/4 inch respectively. The skunk has also popped up and my other two skunks r doin good. They are not growing very fast though, and neither are my mids. Any idea what I'm doin wrong? Is 80 degrees too hot for my room? I'm pHing at 6.5, is that right?

I just transplanted my two root bound mids into FF Ocean Mix. I also took my 2 BBxPH females that just got done flowering and put them back under 18/6. I'm hoping to re-veg so that I can get some clones off them. I repotted them into 3 gallon instead of the 2 gallon that they were in and since they are fully established, I used the MG that I bought and then couldnt use for my younger ones. I can't seem to keep my room cool enough though, except at night. I have had to add more lights because I put the two BBxPH hybrids in there too. Also, how long after I plant the rockwool into the dirt should I start feeding nutrients? Will the leaves start to turn light green and tell me it needs em? Also, what do I do if my plants r nice n green, but the bottom nodes keep turning yellow and then dying. Is this burn of some sort?

are you using daytime for your lights out? what are you using for ventilation? you should at least have one fan sucking air out of your box. but about the best you can do is + five degrees f compared to your room air temp.

you can feed diluted nutes anytime after a plant is a few weeks old.

depends on which nodes. if it's only the bottom one with false leaves then no problem at all. if other nodes, could be one of several problems. what are your growing conditions?

I do have my lights out during the hottest part of the day. I have a 100cfm fan going out and I'm not sure of the one coming in but it blows pretty freakin hard. Thanks for the info on the nutes, I'm gonna start some grow big next time I water. I have lost one set of nodes on each plant after the baby leaves fell off...but its only the ones on the bottom. The rest of the leaves look very healthy.

Whats Your temps like? If the fan blowing air into the box is stronger than exhaust there will be too much heat. I had the same problem with mine. Just ended up doubling up the exhaust fan and cutting passive intake a bit bit bigger. Sorted the temps right out. Good Luck.

Thanks for the tip JR. The mids that I transplanted the night before last have grown over an inch so far. They LOVE the Ocean Mix!

VID00023.jpgVID00022.jpgVID00020.jpgVID00019.jpg These are my most recent pics. I topped one of my mids (pic 2) and not the other (pic 1). Pic 3 is my 2 baby auto assassins and my 3 baby skunks. Pic 4 is the WW clone I cut from a flowering mother 5 weeks ago. Sorry bout the resolution...If you can see it tho check out how little the autos are and already have the first full set of nodes and very little spacing between the first and second sprouts!:hump:

Hey man just wanted to stop by and check out your grow. Looking good. Those first two plants might look like they stretched in the begining but they look great now and the stretched stems even look nice and sturdy. Keep up the good work. I'll be checking you out along your ride.

Thanks man. Everyone says they stretched, and I think they did too, but I couldn't have gotten the lights any closer; they were almost touching LOL. I promise this thread will get more interesting now with the skunks and the autos getting added into the mix. Tell ur friends...come one come all LOL.

I am just wondering about how long it takes to flower. I realize every strain is different, and it depends on the conditions and the grower, I just want a general idea...Maybe 8 weeks is a good average? I'm just lookin for a ballpark figure...
