I was deciding what to make. Was it going to be qwiso or green dragon or some sort of edible.

So i have 32 grams of some trim/small buds from my first grow. And I decided on qwiso. Last night I throw the 32g and I so in the freezer.

Fast forward.... its morning..

Im out of coffee. Damn. Quick trip to the store. And everything is alright. Brew a pot. Pack a bong.

Time for hash making. I grab my metal strainer i use for brewing, some coffee filters, mason jars (the big ones), and the iso and 32g. Im thinkin, "I do not have enough iso for all this. I had one pint. So I but about half the trim in, dump in the iso and wait. I turned around looked for something. Looked at my watch, shit! 45 seconds. I had a jar with coffee filters screwed on as a strainer.

I was going to strain through the metal one into the coffee filter and it would fall right into the jar. Completely filtered right? Well it did not filter through fast enough so I put everything down and threw some coffee filters in the metal filter and did it this way. Wasting another 30 seconds of soaking time. So after all of this. This is what I have. It has a green tinge to it unfortunately but I think I know why.

Common error, it'll still be okay...

If anything, you'll have an awesome oil to make edibles that will melt your face off and sleep for 10 hours straight..lol

The best possible way..for larger runs..

You are need of at least two different sized SS mesh strainers..in sequence.

First use a large holed stainer to separate the plant material from the alcohol as quickly as possible.
Then a finer mesh following that to catch the plant material that got past the first screen.

Finally, a stack of a couple coffee filters.

There should be no plant material in the coffee filter.
Hope this helps.
Happy Extracting!

Thank you!

So I've decided to use the second half. And then use all the spent trim for a second wash. First came out nice. The second wash is a little green. We'll see if we can clean that up later.

No wax paper!!!!

Wax paper is porous and will absorb your oil....

Get it off the wax by placing in the freezer for 1 min...it'll snap away.

Put on parchment paper , and continue purging, she looks wet still.

Qwiso is usually
* rock hard and glassy
*white,off -white crystalline powder.

You can wax qwiso, but the above stages^ should be meet before hand.

Hope this helps.

Got it no wax paper.

So question guys... this is from my second attempt yesterday I filter all the qwiso that has been in the freezer for three day and put it in my dish to evaporate. Yesterday it was a clear liquid with a yellow tinge. So today. This is what I get. A milky white viscous liquid. Still all good?

Usually i take the powder put in a no goo container and stick in toaster oven on lowest setting. Just till powder liquifies. 1-3 minutes. Then remove and let come to room temp for glass shatter

Possibly, I could leave it in the pyrex and put the oven on low, put it in the oven as it is cooling for 3ish mins then let cool?
