Here are the new cycle of plants in the veg area getting ready for the next cycle. This time I am using a living mulch. It is Roman Chamomile along with the 12 seed cover crop from BAS. Also here is another flowering cycle starting in 5 gallon smart pots under a 600w hps.

What are the benefits of using living mulch? I'm still learning and still pretty new to growing in living organics.

Will this is my first go at it. A few of the strains are said to be nitrogen fixers and are good for the worms and keeping the top few inches of the soil moist. The worms enjoy when you cut it down to let it decompose also. I been using hay which has worked great. But I just like trying new things.

shit is lookin good, my friend! I can't wait to hear your comments about flavor and potency. hot fire nugs!

got my first no till pot "cooking" now. bout 18 gal of soil total in a 20 gal fabric pot. used Cann's recipe for this one. just ordered a few blumats so i don't have to water it manually. just gonna do my teas and pour in measured amounts. thinking 1/2 gal of tea at the most when i apply it. let the lower roots suck the RO water from the blumat maxis and the uppers can drink up the tea. I'll be charging up some biochar this weekend and mixing up 3 more no till containers. I think i want to do a challenge with them. just water for one, teas for the other, and not sure about a third challenge yet.

I like the way you think my friend. I love experimenting as you can tell. I have a set of blumats also but don't feel like setting them up. I enjoyed using them with coco and it was insane seeing a big mound of roots growing out of the soil. I need to make me some biochar big time. I think I will add it for my next run after harvest.

Got a nice cover crop going for the plants in the next cycle. For the plants in flower I went and cut down the tomato cages and now I have room for 2 more plants and now it looks neater. Here is the picture of the veg tent packed to the brim. In the middle of the tent are my coco hempy buckets. I really do like trying out new things. Today is day 53 of 12/12 and the plants in the other flower tent are starting to smell more than ever. I am really enjoying things.DSC00030.JPGDSC00028.JPG DSC00027.JPG

at the moment, i have 9lb hammer, 2 phenos of Dr. Who, and Jacks Cleaner 2 from TGA. Also have Black Domina, not sure of the breeder (been takin cuts of this plant for 3 years now probably), and Confidential Cheese by DNA. I'm hoping soon i'll be getting cheesequake and querkle by tga, and a few others.

a friend of mine grows that skywalker kush, shit is freakin powerful. is your skywalker a dutch passion variety? I'm not sure what his is, i just saw that DP has skywalker available just the other day. another friend of mine grows the blue dream.

Mine is the Reserve Privada skywalker. I had one TGA strain years ago that they don't make anymore.. It was one of the smelliest and frosty ladies I grew. I miss that cut very much. It was also done 50-55 days. It was insane. I didn't have the exact name of it but I think it was done version of "Queen". I see it used in crosses by TGA but not sold as a pure strain anymore.

probably the space queen. they use that to breed a lot i've been noticing. my 9lb hammer is done 50 days on the dot every time so far. its awesome to have something that turns around that quickly. i love tga stuff so far. I'm working on two dr. who moms now at ~6wks in. so frosty. great node spacing. one has smaller buds than the other but the resin is more oily and fruity smelling. the other is less desirable scent, but better bud yield and just as frosty. can't wait to harvest and try them out!

I think that's what it is. I am going to have to place another seed order. I have a good amount ready to be popped already though. Heck I think some might be knocked back in the line up.

This marks day 59 of 12/12. I plan on taking these strains to 10 weeks or more depending on what they look like under the scope. Feel free to tell me what you all think. The pictures are of the whole plant and a bud shot of each strain.
Picture set
1:Rainbow Jones
2: Cheese
3: Blue Dream
4: Skywalker Kush
5: White Fire Alien

Awesome grow man big props. I can't wait to try out no till growing, I have my soil cooking now and going to run a scrog. Are you getting better yields with the bub vertical? Seen some pretty impressive growing with that style.

It is my first time running these strains. But I usually do get better yields with vert. I must say that my coco dtw horizontal had great yield also. But I think when it comes to the KISS factor along with the weight. Vert usually wins in my grow systems. The next grow I am going to try a pair of stacked 600w bulbs in the 5x5. I hope I can shoot for over 3 pounds.

if you go back a couple of pages in the ROLS thread, there is a page or two that has info on the living mulch benefits.
