This is my whack at LST training and I'm pretty sure I started early
Cause I'm noticing a slow down in growth should I keep the string tied like this or should I only do it for a couple hours then cut the string ?

Is it okay too do topping before th 6th nod?
Absolutley. Here's a nice guide to start with(you'll see he starts before the 6th node).

Goin for those 90° angles myself, it's a nice slow veg, but I think it will be worth it in the long run1456695540428425121868.jpgI think she's actually about due for her next haircut too

Heres another tip for you.You can take that main top and gently wrap it so it cant open. This will have the effect of greatly reducing upward growth and promote bushiness instead.

I actually want it to open, those are gonna get spread to form a capital H if you look down from above, then I'm gonna strip it back from those tips, let it veg up again for a week or 2 and flower

Now she's ready for a photo op!View attachment 3619248lol, notice not so much as a flake of freshly trimmed leaf in the coco! Wonder who I got that idea from?
Lol

Ok, at this point don't cut off anymore leaves. You can still cut out the lateral branches(same as suckers on a tomato plant) By keeping the leaves but not the side shoots you will get an explosion of growth towards the tops.

Check it out, this is from the 21st

Eh, I left her 4, I do have to say this is my first samsara and she is definately a hardy gal, I've knocked her over so many times and everyday she's reaching for the lights like she didn't even care

When I go the LST route I use coat hanger wire and pin it down pretty good starting off center and let it make its way around the pot. Then it comes up like a bush. It's just that it takes awhile veggin to fill in.
