Hi all, long time lurker, first time journaling. Grown several extremely successful crops, but time to move on up.
6 plants in a veg box under approximately 5000 lumens a square foot M.H. bulbs. There about six weeks into veg and are slowly but surely showing big cal/mag issues.
I've been watering when dry with city water that has sat out. I haven't fed them because there in ffof which I've seen doesn't seem to require feeding for a month or so. The soil is also ammended with 25% perlite and a tablespoon of dolomite lime per gallon of container, of which I have them in two gallon pots. The grow box is kept between 74-80 degrees with a rh of roughly 40-80%.
I have not had a ph meter until yesterday, finally! I gave them a generous watering with Florakleen yesterday ph'd to 6.8 and sprayed them with optic foliar overgrow, (some fix everything foliar spray) i got for free. Was just going leech them out, but took the easier route with the florakleen making sure there was at least a 20% runoff.
what should my next step be? They've been in the ffof for about a month so I was thinking it's time for some nutes too. I know if you use ro water your supposed to add cal mag everytime, but what about city water. No ppm meter so I don't know how the water starts, but should I add some with my feedings, especially since I'm using foxfarms nutes as well which I've heard don't have much/any calmag.
Should I just feed them or was the florakleen thing a mistake? Should I leech them for real instead?
Sorry, but this phone is not letting me upload the pictures I took have to try my gfs phone tomorrow or I don't know.
4 violator kush and 2 chocolate skunk by the way.
