this is my first grow that i am paying attention to and really caring for. i have two plants, the eldest is probably two months old, with the younger a week behind. theyve been in 12/12 now, the oldest for about two weeks, the younger one just one week into it. No signs of sex yet, but they got that stink to em. For a dark chamber, i jus took two rubbermaid containers, lined the outside with lightproof plastic sheeting and flip em over the plants. I've been using lst as well, as i have limited space. Its been working great and i like the shapes i see in the main stems, very bonsai-like. let me know waht yall think!! The first pic is of the setup overall. the second pic is the width of the oldest plant, the third pic is the oldest plant, and its bonsai-like amusement. the finalpic is the younger plant, you can see the side shoots growing straight up, mini-colas i hope.

Those are some interesting looking plants you got there! Very curious on your outcomes on yeilds and such.. While it's not the tallest for two months it looks like it makes it up in bushiness.. Best of luck and keep us updated!

yea, pretty bushy, and as for larger pots, im trying to keep it low. I guess this is kind of an experiment to get the smallest plant with the largest yield. I think im gonna need more lighting for flowering tho, i have two more 150w equivilent cfl's on the way. put out 2700 lumens each, so a total of six lights for my mini grow. possibly more at a later date. Ill be making a box soon too, to maximize stealth-icity.

whats the longest its taken any of your plants to show sex? two weeks into 12/12, no signs for me yet. any input would be helpful, been using 1/8 tspn. bloom fert mixed in with two cups of water every every three-four days.

Nobody can give a definate answer on that because it varies from plant to plant, Ive seen post of taking over a month to show sex, and under 2 days.. It just depends on when the plants feel its the right time to show

im sure no ones folowing this but, anyways, fuck it. After two weeks of flowering, the oldest and better looking of the two plants turned out to be a male. That seems to always be the case, the best plants turn out to be male. Too bad plants cant under go sex changes, id rock a tranny tree. The other plant, a week behind in flowering, hasnt shown signs yet. if anyone is following, ill get pictures of the one survivor up. Im also gonna be planting another seed tonight, ill journal that one from sprout.

I think your plants look amazing. i just have never seen anything like them. Well thats not true. I knew this couple once that grew plants up in their attic and they grew them like that. They were also like bonsai plants.

They look like they have been rooted from clones but look very healthy. I'm just not sure about the flowering part.

Keep up the journal. I find it very interesting.

The shape from LST on that one is crazy! Sorry it turned out male. I have pretty much the same setup as you and i'm debating whether or not to LST as its my first time, don't wanna screw things up if i do it wrong. Keep it up!

well i planted another seed last night, in the peat pellet, but then knocked the pellet over and had to dig the seed back out to tell which side was up. (stoner). its all good now, the other big plant (8-9 days into flower) has a good ahpe going to it. I've pulled all the leaves in a swirl motion, looks like a hurricane kind of (fitting, as i live in florida). Ill get some pics up on tuesday, my next day off.

I've been following your thread just haven't commented - sorry.

Bummer the bonsai turned out to be a guy and not a girl :(

so fuck the new peat pellet seed, i got home today an the thing was bone dry. i watered it again an went on to inspect my other plant. I was assuming this one was male because i paid it less attention and didnt really give a shit about it. Upon closer inspection, i noticed it had lil hairs. needless to say, i was VERY e'sited. somebody gimme a phillie with that pink wrapper on it! Ill post some pics tomorrow. as for now, a friend jus gave me some "blueberry", ive never had it specifically before, jus called em danks haha. i guess now i can notice the difference, become a "conesiuer" or however the fuck u spell it.

im really interested in teh whole led idea. i have a buncha of em around the house, little reading lights and what not, and they all seem to be in the blue spectrum (you can tell the difference in color of light in a completely black room). I havent come acress any yet that would be good for flowering. is there a certain type? or would you use the blue spec. led's in concert with warm white cfl's? perhaps promote growth while flowering? thicker buds and what not

flowering has begun in full scale. pistils on nearly every node/intersection of branches. The main shoot(A) has fallen behind in terms of height/length compared to its other two competitors (B and C). The other two branches (B&C) have taken on a main cola look, with one(B) showing flower development far more than the others(A&C). Im gettin more concerned about my light tho. 4 warm white 26's for a total of 6800 lumens shining on a little over a sq. ft. and a plant no taller than foot. Ive got another two bulbs on the way (42w warms, not sure about the lumens right now, but i know itll put me over 10,000) they should be here on monday i do believe. I read in a couple of places that 10,000 per sq. foot is a good amount of lighting, especially for a palnt this small. Im probably ok with the 6800, but ive never heard of giving a plant too much light so fyork it. The other seedling i planted has now sprouted and is kind of stretched if i do say so myself. Got that whole anorexic model-can barely-stand-straight look going on. this will be ok tho because im going to be growing it 12/12 from seed, just as an experiment. Its still in its pellet (i guess i picked the right side up) but i will be putting it in a pot on monday. I will post a couple more pics on monday too.

Im also considering (well, wanting) to get away from chemical fertilizers. Ive a little on organic fertilizations and used seaweed extracts and guano for my vegetable and flower garden. Im jus not sure about switching up nutes with my baby, as its already flowering and what not. Anybody have any suggestions or any organic suggestions that would aid with flowering?
