This all started last summer when I got a bunch of seeds in a bag of shake that I acquired.
I ended up getting even more seeds from another guy in another bag of shake.
I figured...when life give you lemons...grow pot!!!:weed:
I quite honestly didn't think these seeds would even sprout they were so premature, from both bags.
Out of about a hundred seeds, about thirteen germinated.
I was surprised actually that any of them did.
I went over to Ace and picked up some soil and peat cups and got busy getting them going.
Here's where things get tricky.
I am disabled and rent a room from an old couple, I didn't know how well this would fly.
They went for it with the stipulation that I use very little power (even tho I pay extra for my grow).
So all of my power is used in lighting.
No fans or other peripherals that eat any power.
Started them under two CFL's in my closet and graduated after I got the go ahead to...
I went with a T-5 HO 6Tube 48" fixture 324Watts for flowering, less heat=less need to move air=less power. I use 108Watts T-5 HO 2Tube 48" for veg.
FoxFarms Ocean Forest soil and also FF nutes (Grow Big and Tiger Bloom).
Okay, I'm about done with this typing shit, here ya go, my camera sucks and takes shitty pics but you get the idea anyway.

More shots, buds getting nice and big.
No smells at all so far. I give them a little air a few times a day instead of running fans 24/7.
I think odors start flowing when fans are blowing them all over the place.
I would use a dehumidifier before a fan but I live in California valley where it's very dry and seems like I need nothing. They seem content the way they are.
They do get mega doses of hard rock though, I suspect this to be a link to great health.

Still no smells really to be concerned with unless I stir them up a bit to give them air.
Better to air them out a few times a day than run fans constantly.
They seem fine.

Okay here we go, I think I got it figured out now.
Had to fill a bowl.
There is a shot of my closet (veg room) also.

Nearing the end now.
I'll just show all of the pics, they kind of explain themselves.

Well, I ended up with 9.65 oz. counting the plants I harvested early.
This has been more than an enjoyable experience, but now I have an addiction to growing.
Bought myself some Jock Horror auto-fem seeds from Nirvana and got some going.
Ten freebie seeds also came with the Jocks.
Been spraying one of them with CS and is now producing pollen.
Pollinated a couple of buds on my second grow today.
Can't wait to see what I get.
Also making more Jock seeds and experimenting with the 10 freebie seeds.
I'll keep everyone updated that is interested.
Thanks for checking it out. I am very satisfied with the results of my first grow and excited about future grows with my T-5.

By the way, I built my grow box for about $20, including mylar and screws and wood frame.
Covered it in cardboard with mylar space blankets from ebay.
My Light was $129 at Ace Hardware and bulbs about $10 each on ebay.
It cost me about $80 in electricity to put over a 1/2 pound of high quality bud in jars.
The one thing I love more than anything is smoking clean herb.
No chemical flavor in my buds.
Oh...I still have some of the last bag that I purchased.
It will be sitting there for a long time to come, hopefully.
Once I tasted these buds, I never want to go back to other people's crap.

What type of light you have and bulbs?
T-5 HO 6 Tubes 48" Fixtures... @54watts each tube
Veg- 6500k 2@54watts=108watts
flower- 2700k 6@54watts=324watts
only running two tubes in veg to cut back on power consumption.
I'm kind of pushing my luck running over 400watts total as it is.
