Hey everyone!! It's been a longgg time since ive been around here but its good to be back, my "first" grow, which was last summer ended due to some guy who decided to raid it within a week of harvest. SO, i dont remember if i said that or not on that forum but yea here we go lol...

I got 5 seeds i planted on dec 28, I planted them after using the paper towel method like i usually do. all 5 germanated at the same time. I dont know the strain, but its from some really good weed i smoked couple months ago. I am using the Organic potting mix for now, ill have to get more soil later, but by then ill know if this works. I had very low Flourescent lighting for the past week, cause of weak growth, but today i picked up two 42W Flouro's to add. So now i have the two 42W and one 26W . Im feelin good about the change. Takes a hugge load off my mind haha. I gotta little fan blowing in there to.

I was about to tell you guys the update on them since they have been up, so i looked in and OH SHIT, a little bit of problems id say... One of the flouros had lowerd a bit because of the bar its on in the closet, (the cord or the bar that is) it had lowered in one cup and had been touching and buring it the hole time, luckly i checked!!! So i fixed it all up reallly good made sure nothing like that happens again, thats dangerous! So yea, other than that all plants have already shown appreciation to the light, and are growing more!! already lol!!
heres a few pics i took yesterday before the new lights.

And of coarse this is the first time ive grown indoor, so im new to alot of this, tho ive been reading more and more so its pretty much all down. but yea enough talking! wow haha, heres some pics from yesterday, before the new lights. And also any advice as always is good. thanks and enjoy the grow!

Finally some one posted in here lol jeeze.. Thanks Matt2907, and no i will only be using these for veg, i might get a third 42W for the closet. Keep that full of cheap light lol! Or i might just keep the two 42W with the 26W and add a 125-250W Hps in just over a week for strong light?? For flower ive decided i will get a 1000W HPS light kit For my shed out back, Me and a buddy will be creating about a 4x4x7 room or something along those lines to stick in there. Really this will save alot more money, originally i was going to buy a 400W MH for the rest of veg then the 1000W for flower, but by the time that came i would have blown 500+ on light kits alone. Instead, now i will be spending about half that in the long run.

Becareful with the 1000 watt light in the shed, make sure you keep it light tight, lol

The cfl's should be good enough for veg.
Are you gona flower them in your shed?

yeah, thats the plan. Ill be creating the smaller room for in there (as said before), which will help with light leaks i think. And keep it consealed. But yeah, the plants are growing realllly slow. I know its the soil cause its cheap shit that was picked up for me. There is no perlite in, and no mix ratio anywhere on it. The plants are almost the same as the last pics, just a tiny bit bigger. Im talkin like no difference. I can already see a couple roots at the bottom of the cups. But for the size of the plant it seems strange?

Yea, for the past week for me , my plants just seem to look the same, not really growing much (soil)
My soil is just standard potting soil, all it's got is wetting agent to help it keep moist
smart setup you've got for your shed lol

I bought a big bag of new soil from the local hydroponics shop. The amazing part was a buddy ive know since i moved is now working there. So he told me what i will need to start, and what i might need later in the grow. So thats good, i will be returning there for what ever i need now. They got it all, and for good prices.

so the soil i got is UltraGrowxp "xp" stands for extra perlite. Which is good, and the 8 seeds that i was germantiing where ready to go! So yeah, i planted those yesterday and they are just below the surface today. Just gave a gentle brushing to the top of the soil to find the seedling on its way:mrgreen:
(just checked one... Had to see how fast it was compaired to the other soil)
So thats now all set up in my closet for now. Two of the 4 plants i already had goin where looking almost dead so i just took them out.. unfournunatly, but the 8 babbies have been planted aswell... The 2 i kept from the 4 growing are doing great all the sudden, i topped off both cups with the new soil and gave it some water, already an increase in growth!!

3rd picture is full lights, I will get another light and what ever else i need like nutrients ect. some time after wednesday, So im happy about that haha. 4th picture is no lights (they are moved out of the picture)

I kinda mentioned that in there, must mist it lol. Two of them looked pretty much dead so i took them out, i left the two good ones in there, and they where growing really slow, but just picked up a bit after i topped there cups with the new soil. I will Stick those 2 in some new pots in the next couple weeks, let them develope a bit. I think i will LST like 5 altogether but will start those 2 sooner of coarse.

I recommend a 1:1:1:1 mix of Fox Farm Planting Mix, Fox Farm Ocean Forest, Fox Farm Light Warrior and Chunky Perlite. For veg u dont need to add nutes for a couple weeks. For flower add a cup little Peace of Mind Fruit and Flower. I think they call this Moonshines Mix....all organic and TASTY. Use only water through flower if you want the hedz or add some Bloom nutes if you want to supercharge it at about week 3 or 4. Peace...

Masta Kush. Are your first set of seedlings bagseed, and what are your new lot of sprouted 1's?

Hey newmindica, thanks for droppin in, and thanks for the ideas but i live in BC lol. i dont think we have fox farm here? maybe we do, i dunno lol. But i picked up some good soil that i was told is great for the hole process, but we will see.

And as for Matt's question, i had a total of 9 seeds from some good indoor i smoked few months back, the first "5" eventually 4 and now 2 are that strain, unfourtunatly i lost one after it got torched by a dropped light, 2 where dieing in the first little bit so i removed them. The final 4 seeds of that strain where planted same time as 4 other random badseed i had. Hope that answers your question!

New pictures will be up later today

Alright so here are the pics, They have all started now, one a bit behind but so far so good
I now have a new setup in my closet, kinda cool. but i think i need more light now.. not sure tho, you guys will have to let me know. I have transplanted the 2 older seedlings in to 11L buckets. roots where all around the bottom, which amazed me for the size of them, but i guess its been a while. while i was transplating the second one, the soil kinda gave way and i heard the tear of roots
, maybe it wasn't to bad maybe it was, we will see in the next day or two.

If nothing else, get some Mycorrhaize and when you repot to larger pots, put 1 teaspoon of it in the bottom of the hole. PH your water!

Also, when you water, think sips and not gulps. The reason you have that long worm on the bottom is because of too much water.

Check out Rocky Mountain High's journal about roots and Mycorrhaize.

I am trying to grow totally organic and I wanted to try Peace of Mind Fruit and Flower during flowering. I am cheap and only want to buy minimal nutes for my soil grow so could I get away with just using fruit and flower for one watering and mollasses the next and alternate without buying anything else? Anyone?

Give it a go, but I don't think so. Plants have pretty complex requirements if they are to reach their full potential.:hump:

Sooooo, you might be able to finish the grow, but how good would the end results be? That is the question. Plus it takes months of your time, why screw around for less than $20 ???
