_Hows it goin everyone?
This is my first independant outdoor grow and I'm looking for tips, advice, and constructive critisism so here we go.

I'm growing in southern ontario.
I'm growing in a very safe very camouflaged condemned and abandoned very well fenced in area.
My plants will reveive 8-10 hours of direct sunlight a day and will receive full morning and evening sun.
I'm growing 10 super lemon haze x big bang seedlings (10 plants total crossbred strain) I'm planning on germinating seeds then planting them in cups outdoors and monitoring the cups. I know this is not the best method but if any1 could suggest another way to do it like a cheap and easy way to make a small concealed grow box that could fit in my closet.
Once I have 6 inch seedlings I will transplant them to my grow site. By that time my 2 patches will have been set up with a chicken wire fence and 2 3 by 3 holes filled with organic potting soil. I'm planning on planting mid may to late may possibly june 1st. Once the plants start to show sex ill rip out the males and keep the females healthy during veg.
I will water once every 3 days and every *week and a half I will provide a very low dose of veg nutes until flowering stage begins. Then I will provide flowering nutes as directed in low to med doses depending on how my girls are reacting to it (same goes with veg).*
Now I have some questions
1. Once harvested i need a way to dry my goods stealthily as I live with my parents. Any suggestions?*
2. How can you tell if your over/under ferting ur plants?*
3. Is there any way to tell if the plants are male or female *early outdoors so the males dont use up good soil?*
4.Has any1 had any problems with pests/budrot in my region?*
5.should I mix in some sand or peat moss to the potting soil to make for better drainage?

When the time comes I will be posting a grow journal this summer every few weeks. These will include videos and pictures.
Also here are some links to the products ill be using

If in a container or buckette then all most every day. The plant and soil will tell you. This will be my first year digging hole to try to cut down on watering. One thing people is take a 5 gallon buckette and drill a 1/8 inch or 1/32 inch hole on the bottom towards the wall. Fill with water put by the base of the matured plant (not a seedling).

Hey man i live in southern ontario too. looks like we got some things in common, Maybe we should be business partners haha . btw whats the flowering time on that strain ? cuz i know you cant grow full sativas out here . i wish we could.... Out here you dont need to worry about if you'll do something wrong with your plant , if your fucking up or not cuz it hard to fuck up its easy ... all i know is all you need to worry about is someone finding your plants.

as for question #1 , i would not dry my shit in my room or anything because it stinks up the whole level . So i live in a house i would dry it in the basement because nobody goes down there and i would dry it in a box. put hanging strings across a box or more than one and hang my bud on the string. And question #2 , i would follow the instructions on the fertilizer container .if your over feeding your plants will tell you and you'll be able to spot it . if your plants are growing big everyday and healthy ..thats when you kno your doing your shit right ;) . question #3 , I dont think there is any way to spot a male earlier , so you should grab enough soil for the 10 plants and spread it equally . And it gets pretty humid in this region so I'd watch my plants every other day to spot fungus or mold . theres some plants made especially for places like this and are really mold resistant . And finally i would put peat moss or perlite with the soil so it drains better . I Hope you do great man . I can't wait for this grow season Im gonna go crazy. oh and plant your babies around some trees and bushes ( make them blend in the forest , if your growing in one ) . Well i hope i helped ! its hard to find people around my area in this forum !

Peace , Chale

hey thanks for all the answers :D
I actually wwnt for a 4 hour hike today and I skoped out 2 spots for 2 different patches.
Its a very remote area and its a valley and theres alot of vegetation around.. aim not sure when my strain finishes flowering do you think it will be a problem? I already have the seeds :(
Also when drying in a box does the harvest smell alot like would it stink up a room?
Can you germ seeds then plant them in containers outdoors? if not got any suggestions on small grow boxes that could fit in a closet ?

You will have to check them daily during flowering to determine sex. If you head up their every three days you will be disappointed

Hey, if they're in the ground, you won't have to do that much watering. I'm around similar area as you and have girls in the ground for a bunch of seasons. I haven't "had" to water them much, there have only been a few occasions when it was dry enough that watering was a must. I feed mine nutrients once a week so they end up getting water with that. As for watering during growth stages, Ijust water them when they're dry, not just the very surface is dry, but a few inches into the soil is dry. Other advice, don't tell anyone, don't plant in any regular formation, scatter them around, don't plant all in one spot, anytime youre going to tend to them, bring a bird book, binoculars, fishing pole, or something that would explain you wandering around the bush. Plant on tree lines, and places where they have a little cover, also places you can access through the bushes, so you don't leave trails in fields from the sky.DON"T Leave TRAILS!! When I'm choosing a spot I look at the plants already there, research them and find out when they stop blooming(you don't want every other plant to die off in the fall except your), try and find evergreens, sumacs are good to plant around. Can't think of anything else right now. Oh, I don't know of any Haze strain that has time to grow outdoors here, you should try and get mainly indica strains for this location as they generally finish earlier, and from my experience, they go into bloom with alot faster than sativas. Hope this helps. Oh ya and males generally show their sex before females. You can cover one branch of plant with black garbage bag or something for 12 light, 12 dark, to show sex early, but is stressful for plants.

thanks a bunch man ill be sure to do all that and what concentration of nutes do you use and what nutes? this strain has a 8-10 week flowering period so i should be okay cuz slh is 9-10 and big bang is 8-9 so ill be fine. I'm just wondering if it would be best to plant in potting soil or if i could dig up the soil and add some nutrients to that. Ill plant near treeline in many dofferent locations. Thanks :)

your gonna be pushing it man im from ontario too and last year my chronics didnt get cut till mid october and they prob coulda gone another 2 weeks atleast but they got frosted 4 times so i thought it was time to cut. this year im getting strains that finish in 7-8 weeks. it fine you can use ur seeds but im sorry to predict that they wont be finished completely when you cut. dig holes thats the best way to do it and yes your going to need to use potting soil for better results, dont forget dig big fucken holes like 2x2x2 atleast, you can mix in some of the ground soil if you think its decent but your gonna wanna use more than 50% potting soil i think. Last year was my first indipendant grow, so here are my main pointers.

avoid over-watering, only give the plants water wen the soil is Dry.
Avoid under-watering lol, i fucked some plants up last year by over-watering then underwatering, as a result there yields were 1/4 of the others.
Organic is better, but i understand if you want to be cheap and simple
any budrot will mostlikely come from budworms, moths lay eggs on the leaf during veg and in the buds during flower, from the egg comes a little budworms that roll leafsand bud together with silky stuff( thats how you find them, look for the white fuz and rolled leafs) the budworm eats bud and its silk makes it mold. you can use poison if you want but i just rip them off when i see them and id say i lost less than a 1/4 oz to budworms from my lb yield.

If you have them inside under a light for atleast the 1st week will greatly increase the success of plants by immediate survival and overall growth
