First hydro grow, loving the ease

Heres some pictures. i Started out with 6 assorted bag seeds got 2 survivors that I'm 99.99% sure are female. I'm about 6 days into flowering.

The 2 survivors are definitely 2 different strains.

Started off with a stealth hydro bubbleponics system, once i realized the simplicity of this concept i built 2 5 gallon DWC's and moved my 2 only survivors to each of them. Root system increased about 5 times in density in less than a week. Once they got bigger I built a 10 site cloner and now use the original SH bubbler for clones too. I currently have 10 clones (all from the plant on the left). The cloners were not well built, and i had to make substitues for net pots. IMO the clones aren't really getting as much light as they should be and could be doing better. but these additions to my grow room will come in time.

I've never really done hydroponic before. But these bubbleponic systems are supposed to allow for a faster grow if I'm not mistaken. At 5 days flowering do these things look like they will show sign of budding soon?

Any other advice or potentially fatal flaws? (i know this system is far from perfect) Leave some comments and let me know what you think.

Hey man,
Nice start! THose things aint gonna start showing for about another week or two of being under 12/12. As for your big containers, make sure that its 100% light proof and have plenty of bubbles.
Good lucK!

So far keeping the top 1/4 of the containers covered in a foil tape has allowed for a flourishing root system keeping light, root rot and root borne pathogens at bay from my plants. The plant on the right normally sits in a large system identical to the one on the left.

It is in a special temporary remedy DWC to recover from experiments that i performed on it to change the color of the plant. the small volume of water and high volume of dissolved oxygen in the bubbles aids in flushing the plant of unusual substances and the quick breakdown of unpleasant buildup on the root system. Basically a general quick intensive care for faster recovery (thats one thing you can't do with soil grown plants!!!)

Too many leaves on those clones. The plant is trying to support that growth while trying to make roots and it's doesn't need the load. Clones don't need a lot of light. In fact it's better it they have just a little until they get a real root system. I cut all but leaves but the growing tip off and if any leaves on the growing tip are bigger than 1", I cut those in half. It will grow it's own leaves.

You need about 10 days to 2 weeks for them to start showing sex.

they were in flowering at 5 days when I took that picture they have been in for 10 or 11 now. There are definitely pistils growing on it.

As for the clones, thanks for the tip, never really grew from cuttings before. I probably should have researched it.

You ought to join the BubbleHead Club.

Can I post you an invite?
Please do I would love that. I didn't think I was in a position to teach hydroponics to others. It would seem I learned alot more than even I realize. I've already got another person started on his mini DWC

How did that "changing the color of the plants" thingy go?
