First Hydro Grow ---> Lemon Skunk Clones

Well to start off my thread right I am a Disabled Veteran and a Medical Card Holder so this is legal in this state.

1000W MH and HPS lights in a Magnum XXL hood. Ebb & Grow System with R/O water filtration. This is in my basement so the room temp stays around 72F with the water staying at 63F.

Here is my setup:

This is my first grow and I've had my fair share of issues so bear with me as I am still learning a lot. I started off with 6 clones from a very strong mother that a friend of mine was growing from seed.

First day under the light.

I left them in the dome too long so they were struggling when I put them into the buckets.

The little one didn't make it so that left me with 5. This picture was while I was having PH and Calcium issues.

This was about 2 weeks later after correcting my PH problems.

A week later

Another week went by

They really stretched out this past 2 weeks

This was the day before I switched the light to HPS and went to 12/12

They took almost 2 weeks to switch into full flower. They have now been in full flower for 2 weeks and I took these tonight.

Please let me know how you think they are looking. I topped a little late, just before flower, because they are 4' tall now and I only have 2 more feet left before the light is against the ceiling.

Looks great! Congrats on such an organized grow. Think you should get ready for lots of buds.

I definitely will do a few things different next time. I will try topping them early and switching them to flower a lot earlier. They almost doubled in size in the first week after switching to flower. I trimmed all of the tiny lower branches that were trying to flower as well. I wanted it to stick to the main large branches that are all very close to the same height.

Here are some photos this morning with the light on. They are very strong and getting very thick I just may have to thin out some of the leaves. Any tips on thinning out the bushiness to allow for bud growth?

They are very strong, definitely a skunk, but up close they smell like lemon drops... yes the candy!

I really can't wait for them to finish up and get the next grow started.

FLOWER: 3 WEEKS

Trimmed up the lower leaves and some of the small popcorn buds that were growing. Here are the current pictures as of tonight.

I'm looking to grow an Indica next. Looking at OG Kush, Bluebery, The Cheese, or Grand Daddy Purp. Now I just have to decide which ones to order. I have a friend who is making me his grower so I will be doing 12 smaller plants next time.

Lemon Skunk is one my all time favorite smokes, I've had friends comment on how good my house smells like lemon pinesol with a hint of cannabis!

Nice job, you dead on correct; top or fim and star the 12/12 sooner which will help limit the stretch and get increased yield, how close is that lamp?

I should have switched it earlier for sure. The light is about 12 inches from the tops of the plants.

Here's a picture of the light and it has been right about the same distance from the top of the plants this entire grow.

Here's another close up of one of the buds.

why didnt you take all those unused buckets out of the way? it would give you better work area and make it easy to turn the plants around for better light coverage.

I just didn't feel like taking it apart and the next grow I will have 12 plants. The plants are in the right positions right now so they are getting good light coverage.

12 under that one 1kW lamp means to me your going to switch to SoG, you will outgrow the lamp with 12 half the size of those you have now; food for thought!

That's exactly what I'm going to do. I was planning on having 12 in this first grow but my friend who was going to have me grow for him wasn't able to get his medical card before I started. The next grow I will switch them just before they get to this size. I'm also thinking about picking up another light as I have room for 2 more lights in this room.

Keep up the good work 2shoes. Looks good. BTW - this isn't a big deal but if you could get that one bud picture focused on the black background that picture would rule.
