first hydro ebb and flow closet grow PICS!

set up first hydro grow in a closet, pretty proud so check it out...

feel free to give suggestions but mind you i have limited funds so nothing too ridiculous but check it out and feel free to ask questions

recently started experimenting with filling a bottle with sugar water, multivitamin and yeast to give some CO2 infusion into the set up as well.

1 400 watt hps, 2 150 watt hps, 6 cfl bulbs, 5 white widow plants, uncovered res, my drain hole is mounted directly over the res so that it falls back in.

I used a paper drop cloth to reroute an airconditioning vent to the plants to keep them cool, thats the picture you see with the white sheet...

I think you need to wrap your tray with duct tape. You can see algee growing in there . also lay SOME type of cover over your res. so you won't promote algee in there too. I also would clean that room up. There is quite a mess on the floor. Keep the room as clean as possible to avoid anything contaminating your grow. For such a small grow , you don't need the CO2 bottles . just keep a couple of fans blowing. That will give them plenty of FRESH air. Other than that , your grow looks like it is happening.

what do you mean wrap it with duct tape?? im kind of confused by that, are you saying take out the tray and the plants and line the entire flood tray with duct tape? i know is hould cover the res i agree, ive been trying to figure out a way to cover it but still allow my drain hole to go back into the res, ill figure something out...ya i agree it should be cleaner, could have done better than that...i appreciate the advice though, thanks!

Any light getting into your water and root system will cause algie to form which will ruin your roots and plants. They need to be in darkness. Light=allgie.

I meant to wrap the outside of the res to make it light tight. I have also had a friend cover his res. with some dark contact paper. The kind you would use to line kitchen cabinets.

i used some dark paper to put over the top of the res but i have to replace regularly cuz i have my flood table alligned so that it drains off right back into the res... how far up do you fill your table, as in how high up do i want the water on my cubes??
