First Hydro Cfl Grow

So this will be my 3rd grow. First grow was under a 15 watt fluro tube that I got for 10 bucks, obviously the plant looked pathetic and yielded less than a gram lol. 2nd was under 6 23 watt cfl's and I got an oz. This will be my first Hydroponic grow. I have 8 23 watt cfl's and will be using the scrog method like in my last grow. I am 2 weeks in to veg and about to top and get my screen setup when I realized after my screen is set I am going to have problems emptying the water in my bucket. If anyone has any solutions to this problem I would appreciate the advice. I will post some pics soon.

As you can see in the last pic i have to pick the net pot pretty far to get the roots out. I wont be able to do that when the plant is stuck in the screen.

Sounds like you need to cut a hole towards the bottom of the bucket for a valve to drain the water. I'm going to be in a similar predicament as my plants are about a week behind yours. Good luck!

Thanks PK, I got everything on Amazon except for a few things that wouldn't ship free. I paid a little more for the others at a local shop.

I decided not use a screen on this and just top it and hope it stays even. I haven't tried this strain before but it seems to be even all around and bushy.

Next week I am going to really up the feeding to about 1150ppm.

Looks good man. I definitely will be following this grow. hopefully i will be starting my first hydro grow soon. Im waiting on a package from attitude. But i do want to ask you about a few things you are using in your grow. Is that HM EZ meter reliable? And what pH meter do you use? The cheapy i have needs to be replaced.

The HM meter i am using was really inexpensive and seems to give accurate results, though I am not 100% sure how to test its accuracy. I am just going off of the feeding schedule on my nutrients that has the ppm listed next to the ml. For PH I am just using the old fashion drops. I want to get a quality ph meter but have yet to find one with a decent price with good reviews. Most that i have seen need to be re-calibrated every use. If you get one that works well let me know what the brand is. I figure my PH is within .3 or so of my target.

This strain was a freebie from Attitude White Shark 33, I am using this one first as a test for Hydro. After this grow I will try the seeds I wanted (White Widow and Blue Cheese).

Well I changed my mind again and went ahead and topped it then put up my screen up. Going to try to fill the screen all the way full. I think i can lift up the screen with the top of the pot and slide a new bucket of water and nutrients under it without pulling the plant apart but we will see. Let me know what you guys think.

Wow only 64ppm, my tap water runs around 300 but I am not ready to buy filters or RO water just yet. Any luck on your Attitude order yet?

Some new pics. This plant is growing really quick. Might not wait to much longer before I go 12/12. There wasn't going to be anyway I could pick up the screen and the top of the bucket so I just did some LST on the lower nodes to even out the canopy.
