First Grow

My plant has already germinated, and has been planted in soil. The radical has already broken the soil and is exposed to the air. Once the plant reaches a foot I intent on placing it in the attic. I may add another plant also. What type of bulb (how much wattage) should I get for two plants? What should the light cycle start as 12/12?

I obtained the seed from the plant that is growin from a bag of "popcorn"- I hate the stuff, it's just a money makin scam, I know, But its all we have around here.

I Intend to post pics asap.
I also plan on buying some seeds. I'd REALLY like to try groing the strain Durban Poison, and AK-47, anyone know any good/safe sites to order?

Is it just that one plant? If so, use at least one 42 watt CFL ("cool blue", or close to 6500K color temp), and place it directly overhead, about 2-3" away. Plus, it'll work alot better if you buy one of those aluminum cone-shaped reflectors for it. If you go with the smaller 23 watt CFLs, use at least 4 of 'em, of you're serious about it. 3 might be okay, but more is always better. Don't go with smaller bulbs than that. How much do you plan on spending? There's all kinds of options, for lighting. The best option, would be to go with MH, HPS, or even T5 fluoros. They're better than CFLs, but also cost alot more.

You'll want to go 18/6 with your lighting, til they're ready for flowering. Then, you change to 12/12.

Attitude Seeds is quite popular, and trustworthy. I've used them, and am happy with their prices and shipping times.

The plant I have growing now is just from a bag of schwag, I may post a pic, dunno. I'am really waitin'for the seeds to arrive.

Wassup man, you should really post some pics (it will attract potheads to help you) lol. As jawbrod said, if your like me on a tight budget, you can use 3 cfls for a plant and it will grow great. I have 3 cfls 23 watts each for my two plants (Grapefruit & bagseed from chronic). Check out my grow man

I took the pics today, the 9th of November, the plant sprouted before Halloween so that puts it somewhere around two-three weeks old.

i would transplant it earlier than normal and straighten it out. it looks really close to that one side, you dont want the roots getting all fucked up

about a month old.

Is there anyone that actually reads my journal on here? ha
I have a question, I switched the light cycle to 12, but it really isnt too consistent some days it may get from anywhere from 10 to 13 hours of light, would this mess up the flowering cycle?

I think its flowering, but I want to know what someone else thinks about it.
Maybe I should post a pic.
