First Grow...

OK... this is prolly a bit different way to start, definitely not the best way, and I hope it's even possible:)

What I've got already are 5 plants that I germinated and started approximately 12 weeks ago. I started them inside for a week or so and then stuck them in our flower garden and just let nature take its course... they are alive, and healthy- but they're still pretty small (6-8" tall). I have completely neglected them... we get plenty of rain here tho and they have been in direct sunlight for 8- 10 hrs a day.

I want to bring one inside and put it under a cfl (24w i think) and try the LST method. Am I wasting my time? I dont have any more seeds now so this is all i have to work with... I'm a complete noob but I figure hey if they're still alive then it's worth a shot, right?

Here are a few pics, I will post more once I bring it inside....

okay... I moved what in my opinion was the best looking plant inside, i put it under a 23 watt cfl (2700 kelvin), and put a fan on it... tomorrow i will build a box and go get some more lights, a thermometer and humidity gauge combo. Before I go to bed tonight I'm gonna take a sponge and gently wash the leaves... there maybe some critters that came in from the garden with it.

Bear in mind this plant has been growing outside with little to no attention for 12 weeks... and its only about 9" tall...

Plant is doing OK. Today I ordered a 300w PSU and 2 60mm computer fans off of newegg.com. Then I went to wal-mart and bought a brinks electronic timer, a power strip, a 6500 kelvin (26w) cfl, a digital thermo/ hygro, some extension cords and duct tape. The newegg stuff will be here on friday and i will finish constructing the micro-box. I've got a total of about $80 wrapped up in this so far. I will practice on the plant i have now and then purchase some northern light seeds in a month or so.

I'm waiting for the plant to take root good and strong (since I transplanted it from outdoors) before I begin LST.

I'll post some pics on fri night/ sat morn when the box is complete.

I have not had too much luck with the Mazar x Afghan strain. I have been doing a real ghetto grow in dirt using crap nutrients though. I went hydro about a month or so ago and have one M x A in the system now(hope its a female). It seems to be doing a lot better in hydro with good nutes. I have to say though, the little bit of smoke I have harvested from this strain was nice. I am looking forward to some real buds this time. I have four more of those seeds so maybe I will get a couple of females out of the bunch.

Yeah, I got them as freebies from them. I was lucky to get a quarter to half ounce from each plant no matter what strain I grew. Not much yeild for the time and effort.

well... i live in the midwest and we get some pretty hellacious storms in April and May... we definitely got a lot of rain this year... i don't know exactly what strain it is... got it from a buddy who tries to collect seeds if one turns up in any dank he buys (kinda rare). Maybe all that rain stunted it's growth and that's why it looks so puny (but healthy) after being in the ground for 3 months .l
Basically, i'm just kind of experimenting with this plant until my NL seeds come in...

Here's some updated pics....

i'll definitely put some effort into the NL... the plant i have on here was just kind of something I started on a whim... i think when i start the NL i may transplant the 3 month old back outside. The little guy has been thriving since i brought it inside though.

still waiting on my power supply and fans from newegg so i can finish my micro grow box.... i guess they'll be here on monday.

i did put another light on this plant- now there's 2 26w cfl (6500k) about 8 inches away from the top on either side.

yeah man-good looking plant.keep those 2 cfls as close as you can-just make sure its not touching the plant, cas cfls -s has a really low light penetration.
keep up the good work...

here is the same bagseed plant along with another that looked almost identical but perhaps an inch or so smaller when i moved it from the flower garden to to indoors. i'm gonna go about another 10-12 days and start flowering. both plants were topped using Uncle Ben's 2nd node/ 4 cola method.... i've heard good things about this method so we'll see.

Also, I've started the NL seeds - whole nuther thread... they are doing nice also, but only about 2" tall yet. building 2nd box this week. specs from 1st box are on my NL thread.

only nutes i'm using on these is schultz instant.... just ordered the fox farms stuff.... it will def be used on the NL's and these during flower...
