first grow update with question

hey so this is my first plant and its fem greenhouse great white shark. i started out with some heat stress bout 2 weeks ago but i have fixed it and the new growth looks much better.its been in veg now for 5 weeks. under 400w MH for a week now, at first i only had a 400w hps.

but i was wondering how often should i give it nutes? i have foxfarm grow big(6-4-4) right now for veg and on the bottle it says every other watering but on the feed schedule for fox farm it says at this week i should be doing it twice a week. i only water once every 4-5 days also whenever bout 2 inches of soil gets dry, so i dont know how to give it nutes twice in one week like it says.

any other advice would be great

What type of soil are you using? You don't want to cause more damage by over feeding. The new growth looks healthy, I would top the plant it will allow the lower branches and new growth to take over.

fox farm ocean forest, i also gave them their first dose of nutes last watering. i havent seen any dmg from it so far

Just go easy on the nutes, 1/4-1/2 strength should be ok. FFOF soil has enough nutrients for your plant at this stage. You should water every other day and feed every other watering, until it gets bigger. 4-5 days is too long for a plant that size. Also make sure to give it enough water so it drains out the bottom.

Topping the plant will help more than anything, if I were you I would cut the dead/dying leaves back (not off, just back by cutting off the tips of the leaves), then top the plant around the 4th or 5th node, right above where the new branch growth is coming in.

thx for the advice majek.but i really didnt wanna top my first grow i just wanted to see how it turns out and its already 8-9inches tall and im gonna flower once it gets a little bit taller..ill fim/lst my next grow. as far as the watering goes, after 2 days the soil is still moist to the touch and i heard you want it to be dry when you water it next? when i water i give it enough till i see water coming out the bottom.
