First Grow - unhealthy sprouts (indoor)

Hi guys, new grower here.

Here's a few pics of my two little friends. I'm not sure about one of them is gonna live(or is still alive) :( And both looking so unhealthy.

Biobizz all-mix soil. I've added no nutrients to the water. Didn't check the pH since I read that's not as important as hydro compared to soil.

Air ventilation is fine I guess. Even may be a little much airflow than what my grow room got to be. And there's a fan(low setting) blowing air to my lamp.

heard all-mix may be strong for seedlings so I've added no-nutrient soil(from my local store) to top of the soil and planted them in there. I wonder is this what all about :(

Temps 18C-25C night/day. Humidity is %35-%50 most time I can't increase it and sometimes I spray the blants to keep the humidity up.

It's their 3rd(18/6 MH) day in soil(I germinated them in wet papertowel). I really want to know if one of them is dead cuz I'll plant a new one :( I can give more information if needed. I want to make them look great :(

Here's the pics. Thanks :weed:

They look alive. Somehow. Dude, have you ever grown pot before? There is no way they are going to thrive in that soil, in huge containers, under 18/6 MH light. Or even survive. BEFORE you plant any more seeds read up on germinating and using Solo Cups and using graduated containers or not. Etc.

hi @dmnstrzx :)
first off: yeah the website was/is glitchy - hoping this post will go through today

As for your babies:
they're both alive - their stalks look vital (nice link @Urbz , but I disagree)
I see why you are concerned though, especially about the one whose cotyledons (=the oval baby leaves) are so damaged. It happens, that first leaves come out retarded / damaged, oftentimes they just grow out of it.

If this is their 3rd day in soil after germinating, they must have just sprouted?
they do need a few days to unfold, you know :-P
They need to grow roots first, so they can then uptake water and nutrients to grow their upper parts. For this, in the beginning they use the energy stored in the cotyledons.
So patience, on the one hand ;)

On the other, you may be loving them to death a bit at the moment :-P
Best conditions for a seedling are: warm and moist - that's like around 25°C and a good 50% RH.

They do not need any form of wind yet.
In fact, having the fan on is reducing your humidity - but baby plants need good humidity in the first days until their roots have developed to a size that can actually feed them.
If your humidity is still low without the fan, think of putting a dome over them for another few days. A dome can be as simple as the bottom half of a clear plastic bottle with air holes in it.

What size pots have you got there?
Your layering soil sounds like big container, you will have to be very careful with watering in the beginning if that is the case.

Hope that helps!

They are alive, for now. First one looks worse for wear.
How close are they to the light?
Do you have a fan blowing on them?
