First Grow: SuperCloset Supernova

OK so i got a Supercloset Supernova coming a week from tomorrow. I have my seeds witch I got from Herbies. I got 10 Dr. Krippleing Incredible Bulk. I had originally ordered the 5x5 LED superroom with the Kind K5 XL1000, but do to some unforeseen circumstances I had to change my order.
Supercloset has made me feel like I have been placed on the "when I get around to it list" other than that I guess my dealings with them have been fair. I got the Supernova but they were out of the shelf so they threw in the k5 side lights for free if i didnt want to wait and from what i have read on here after a bit i will know what i need to make one myself for cheap. So I have the 8 spot clone mother and 50 spot clone/germ station still coming witch I am going to build a cabinet for so I can start a SOG grow next time. This time I am thinking of doing 6-8 plants in the 16 plant system topping them once and letting them get a little bushier than i will be able to with non topped straight lolied SOG. Is this about right? I know people have space problems but this is a huge cabinet. Thoughts? I grew up on a farm and have quite a bit of experience with fruit trees and tobacco. This will be my first indoor hydro grow however. Thanks

Thanks, just gonna grab a couple of things to be proactive. I live in a log cabin on a homestead in the middle of the mountains so I am trying to be proactive since my hydro store is almost 2 hour away. TIA

We have 140 acres, about an hour outside of town. We are completely self-sufficient from a food, water, and electric stand point. My wife works in town about 1 and a half away. I used to drive a truck before we started this. Roads go just about everywhere in the lower 48 and my property has road access. I do then have to move all of my shipments the mile and a quarter up the mountain to our cabin. Maybe my definition of "homestead" maybe different than most discovery channel or history or whoever shows those programs. I mean I am on the internet... If that is what you could call Hughsnet ;)

I spent a few years in northern Maine, getting mail of any kind was tough. I miss some things, not others, now live in the city.

I'd be down for that. We have talked of selling out and doing this somewhere else and have talked Maine. We are in the TN,VA,NC area and my wife would like to stay at least on the east coast. Probably stay at near here. Where we are now we both get to do what we like, and some things like internet and even access to mail in the winter are nice.

I like being inside with a wood fire completely imprisoned by snow :D We are getting a little of that in the city this year..

So you get your closet and get things going now or what? I'm anxious to see some other grows using a supercloset. So far I'm loving mine but I def have found some things that could be better. But nothing is perfect

Hell no,It got held up for weather. Its now supposed to be here tomorrow. Tracking it though and its only half way so we shall see. Christ it better be before Friday. Damn things is 98'' tall on the invoice w/packaging. Started the germ on the Dr.Krippling Incredible Bulk 56 hours ago. Looks like all 9 germ are almost broken through or have already so thats good.

So its been since the 26th since it shipped... It still is not here and they just told me weather even though from it location to me there is ZERO weather. I have been so disappointted with my experience this far from the ordering process to the shipping debacle.

Sorry to hear that man. Sounds like you are in a rough to get to area though. Everything was smooth and as promised for me. Hopefully once you get it things turn around for you.

Hey, you never came back and mentioned anything about your shipment. I'm curious to know your story and what you did with those seeds. :-D

Ok so here is the update. Closet got lost. I had to drive to pick it up because the shipping company wouold not come to my house. So much for the curbside delivery. Mind you I have the Supernova. Only about 350lbs of awkwrd. Since I had to meet the 18 wheeler at a truck stop and load it into my truck I was only able to inspect the outside of the box. When I got it home and opened it the top left corner was smashed in and the doors would not open. I called super closet and after massive amounts of bitching and trying to get some help from someone I finally just wrote a god awful review on thier website. Within an hour Rory Kagen the COO called me and began to try and make it right. They offered to replace it but seeing as I was shot all to shit over seas and this was a one and done effort for me to get it inside by myself. I couldnt have done it twice. Im 6'5 230lbs of Salty S.O.B and that thing was like moving a piano by myself. Needless to say Rory told me If I could get it to funtion they would refund me some money in the form of store credit. So after a few hours with some sheet metal tools I got it working as it should. They gavve me $60 for having to meet the driver and 150 for the damage so I had them send me the CO2 kit for the credit. All but 1 of those 10 I germed however without light or cabinet due to the 2 xtra weeks it took me to get it died. However I did start 4 more two weeks later (still prior to the cabinet arriving but within the week. Everything did great and then about a week befroe flower my ballast died. They sent a new pretty fast but only after I had to again call the COO. As of 9 days ago I was starting my flush when I noticed my light just turn off. No noise from the new ballast. They sent me another. Didnt fix it. So I bought a new power cord, didnt fix it(bulbs are good) So right now I am awaiting my new cooltube. Apparently thier is a short that can develop between the tube and the fans on the supercloset model. Anyway cool tube should arrive today. Plants have been without any but the supplemental T5 for 9 nights now. They still look good, no rot etc but Tri and hair maturaty stoped cold. Is this cropped ruined or will it finish of ok if it survives until the light arrives?

Well tube just arrived(didnt metion earlier but waas suposed to have shipped overnight on thursday, they sent it fucking ground. so after calling Rory again yesterday he overnighted me on with a return label for the one expectedd to be delivered friday by ground. BTW it took me suggesting this method since the geniuses at SC just was gonna see if fedex would change it to overnight while it was a ground package). Needless to say just hooked new one up(they did send me another bulb and duct work even though it wasnt needded but they did however forget the return label!!!!!) I swear they must all be stoned all the time over there. Anyway everything is on right now but it did the same last week and would short out after about an hour. So here is to hoping!!
