First grow starting soon (setup advice needed please)

Hello everyone reading this post!
Well as the title states i am starting my first grow but i needed to know a couple things first (all help is appreciated and thanks to who at least tried!!)

1. I was thinking, could i go from seedling to harvest by only using "FFOF" (for veg) and "Tiger-bloom"? (for flowering)

2. Can I start my plant off in a 12in, and after about 2 weeks transplant into about a 3-4 gal which would be the final home for my plant til harvest?

3. For watering, do i just make sure theres drain holes on the bottom of the pot and keep filling the pot with water til water leaks out the bottom?

4. how long should i veg and flower for?

When i get all my materials, and my plants are about 1 week old ill start my journal . thanks for the help guys and please give me any tips, knowledge (could come in handy :D)

1. Those Two Will Work But You Still Need A Micro Nutrient.
2.Id start it in a plastic cup with drainage holes then wait tell its 5 in put in a 12 in the to like a 3-5 gallon.
3.And yes but do a cupful of water at a time and give it a sec to drain through.
4.vegging depends anywhere from 2-7 weeks is good and 8-9 weeks of flowering.
Hope That Helped.

you can veg for aslong as you like.... the longer you veg the bigger the plant so you must take into account the rule of thumb a plant can double even triple while its in flower i have a 3 ft high closet and i start flowering when my plant hits 12" (1ft)

You can veg for as long as you like although after like 3 months of veg you get diminishing returns. Its basically about height, so just remember however tall your plants are before you flower them, they will double to triple in size depending on the strain by the time they are ready to harvest. For example, if you only have 4 verticle feet of space start the flower cycle when the plant is about 18" tall.

As far as watering, you want to keep the soil moist, but don't flood the container. Also, how much and how often to water depends on your lights, because if you are using a HPS light, the heat produced will dry out the soil quicker then with CFLs.

Good luck with the grow, look forward to seeing pics.

Peace and Happy Growing

1 - yea the micro nutes, i went to the petstore, found stuff for fish tanks, that has 0-0-0 NPK rating, and 14 different micro nutes. cheap, like 15 bucks, works great.
2- yea start it in something smaller, i put it in a 12in pot when its about 6inches, and keep it there til its around 3ft.
3 - agreed, cupful or so is the way to go, youll get the hang of it, i pour maybe 1/2 cup on the baby plants, a cup on the 6in ones, and about 1 liter on the plants that are 2-4 ft. then wait about a minute, and if theres no runoff, i repeat.
4- vegging is said to be a minimum of 12-18 inches. and flowering, well... thats up to the trichomes. honestly, veg for a LONG time, more veg => more room for pot to grow => more pot. the price of the set up, nutrients and whatever doesnt change much between a 1ft plant, and a 5ft plant, but the yield does. so go big or go home!
