First Grow Setup! w/ pics!

This is my setup for my first grow, The first couple of pictures are for my vegatative room,i have (2) 6500K bulbs for vegatative state, and (1) 2700K bulb for Flowering(which you can see in the bottom pictures) im gnna be growing 4 plants, and im using the box for the flowering.

What do you guys think?
Should I use both 6500K lights for gardening? Or is 1 enough?
Do i need another 2700K bulb for Flowering?
And, will the box i made be suitable for flowering?

What lights you got will work fine for the first 3 weeks or so, but the more watts you got the better the grow and harvest. At least you'll have 3 weeks to put something a little larger together than that box. I notice you had a fan just sitting inside. Cut a hole in one side towards the top of the box for out air and at the bottom of the opposite side for in air. Use PC fans to move the air. Now don't get me wrong, that box will do nicely but remember, if your plants are just 8 inches tall when you put them in 12/12 flowering, they will get taller than your box. So use the first 3 weeks to find yourself something about 4 foot tall or better. One of those U-haul wardrobe boxes would be the shiz. I dont have issues with MG nuted soil, cause i dont grow in soil, but I hear, you shouldn't feed the youngsters anything till 3 mo. when the nutes run out. When using MG nutes, start out 1/4 strength and work up till your at full strength, according to the package directions, in a month. Another thing, test your pH and keep it about 5.8-6.0 plus/minus .2 either way. And pH your water before giving the little ones a drink. Check out the grow FAQ at the top of the thread, and read. Small set up but you will learn a lot. Yeild and thc will be low but you will build a strong foundation for future grows for little cost.

Two things to change (I am not kidding)

First Mericle Grow is the absolute word plant food ever. Order some hydro nutes add them to water and water your plants with that. MG will burn your plants and they will tase like shit.

Second alum foil is one of the worst reflective surfaces. white poly works great

you aren't gonna be able to flower 4 plants with hardly any light, u couldn't flower one plant with that lighting. you might get a quarter ounce off a plant. your gonna need like 20 cfls to flower a plant

miracle grow is not bad soil if you know whats in it. if your novice and use miracle grow and than give ur plant nutes they dont need when the soil is still feeding em. i dont hate on other soils ive used other soils, but i prefer miracle grow moisture control soil. great soil IMO

It looks like u r tryin foir a cheap grow. Ill suggest what I have for others doing the same. Go to walmart and buy a few of those cheap 10 dollar 24 " grow lights they sell now. They are 7800k color and put out 1100 lumens each. Just duct tape 4 or 6 of em together and hang 3 to 5 inches above plants. Use ur cfls to enhance .They use only 17 watts a piece but put out 75 watts of light each. My profile pic is a plant that was grown for 10 days under em. Notice how bushy the plant is, pretty awesome. I say bout a month to 6 weeks vegin then put under hps light for thick assed buds. As for Miracle grow, the plant in this pic is on Miracle Grow and I recommend it. Some plants may take a while to kik in but Ive had good results with Miracle grow. Just stay away from the ORGANIC MIX. Just use the normal 3 month release potting mix. Works fine. As for the taste. U wont have any fert left to taste by harvest time and u should always give only water last 2 weeks of flowering to get rid of ferts anyway so that just sounds like if it taste like fert u dont know what the hell u r doing lol.

thankks for the advice guys, im gnna take guitarmans advice and buy about 4 of those 24" grow lights for veging, and does anyone know the aprox. price for a hps light, im willing to spend a little more for some nice buds.

hey i think i have the same bulbs as you im using 125w envirolites 1 for vegging 3 plants and then using 2 2700k envirolights for flowering when its done i will put pics up but yeh hid or whatever is probs best just i have money issue and heat issue and those bulb are aiite.

a guy on ebay sells em refurbished for about 110 bucks that includes shipping. I bought one it works friggin great. 400 watt hps that is. I wish u luck and dont tell any of yer freinds thats rule #1 at least until the growins done. Peace out.
