Hey everyone , i just signed up and this is my first grow .... really excited ...
im using a 4x4 sunhut tent
1000 watt MH for veg
1000 watt HPS for flower
vented hood
occillating fan
ultra sonic humidifier

planted in foxfarms soil

Got 9 Mk ultra clones on a 18/6 veg cycle ....
tent stays btw 70-81 degrees during the day and the humidity is at around 40% with the humidifier turned on ...

I just put them in yesterday and I fed a mix of distilled water/ some Bloom organics and a drop of super thrive (As per the owner of the hydro shop i got the nutes from)

keeping my PH at btw 6-6.2

i was told to wait 2-3 days to feed again I noticed that some of the leaves are turning slightly yellow ... I am not sure what this is from but I have attatched some pics ...

Any advice anyone can give me would be great ...

hmmm, this is a tricky one, could be under or over fertilizing. I would cut out the fert for a few feedings. In doing this you will either fix your overfert problem, or realize your plants are underfertilized and then hit them up with more nutes. Anyways good luck!

I'm also on my first grow, but i'm only using 400 watts.

As for the yellowing, my prediction would be overfeeding. You said you used Foxfarms, but you didn't say what kind. I've heard people say they have problems with seedlings in foxfarms ocean forest soil (FFOF). It is a pretty rich soil and if you add extra nutes it might be a bit too much for the fragile little plants.

I have used FFOF from seed to harvest with no ill effects, but i didn't start fertilizing till the plants had 4-5 nodes.

I wouldn't worry too much about the yellowing unless the new growth starts looking strange. Follow the KISS (keep it simple stoner) method and everything will work out. Good luck and godspeed.

I wouldn't use anything other than superthrive & distilled water for AT LEAST the first week. You can get away with it, but 1st grow can be tricky. You'll end up burning them beyond recognition with nutes. Don't feed them every time you water. And even then, start with 1/2 what it says to use. Then after a couple feedings & the plant responding well, up it to full strength. You just got the plants, don't forget. They are adjusting as well. How close is the light? It could be essentially bleaching it & getting ready to fry. My guess would be the beginning of heat stress (as I've seen it over and over myself), but it could also still be nute burn. You have an oscillating fan, but what's your exhaust? With a light like that, even a built in exhaust sometimes doesn't work fantastic for cooling in tight spaces.

Good luck!

oh, and shops love to make money. Remember that...No telling how long those clones have been sitting there & what has been done to them.

Hey stan , my light is a good 2 feet from the tops , and the space is very well vented with a 8 inch centrifuge fan , the room is always between 75 - 80 degrees .... I bought the clones from a very well respected clone/mother collective called Progressive Options out here in LA .... they are very into quality , one of my clones actually got killed during transport and they replaced it free ... im going to follow your advice and only feed distilled water for the rest of this week ... I will update with pics .... I watererd yesterday and it wet through a full cycle and its on its second cycle and the soil is still slightly moist ... I am wondering when i should water again .... ??and do I need to flush these babies or no ?

Thanks in advance for all your help !

Play the waiting game. Let the soil dry out on top to where it crumbles like dry sand. Don't let the entire plant dry up and die haha, but make sure you're not overwatering. I usually water every 2-3 days. Next time you thoroughly water it, feel the weight, and remember it. You can tell a HUGE difference when you lift the plant when it's dry :)

I don't know that place. I lived in LA for a few years, and my favorite was always NoHo Caregivers at 5656 Cahuenga. They had the best Big Buddha Cheese (which happens to be my favorite). Free joint during Happy Hour but don't let the people roll it. Just get the gram for free & do it yourself. You'll come to thank me for that! I look forward to seeing more pics.

Good luck!

**Make sure it's distilled & not just filtered.

Good Luck! Im pullin for ya. Check out my grow journal if you'd like. Growing herb is pretty damn simple. Straight up, I think most people make it sound harder than it truly is!

Couldn't have said it better! There's always tricks you can do, but in the end, she's gonna grow the way that she wants to grow!

Oh i know that for sure .... I am only using distilled water ... my next water I will def take all that into consideration I was planning on keeping my PH at around 6.0 give or take a few cents ... and my PPM at around 850 sound about right to you ? also in anticipation ... i mixed my full strength nutes with distilled in a 5 gall bucket with an airator keeping the water moving how long will that keep for ? now that i am going to feed water next 1-2 feedings only and should i dump half of it out and mix 2.5 gall of distilled to dillute ?.... Stan , thank you for all your help .... I own a porn/sex toy website .... PM me ill send you some free dvd's or something for the help ;)

Haha, now that ya mention it, throw me the website. Wife needs new toys & I like buying from places I know. Yeah, I'm a sick bastard, it happens. PPM...how big of a space do you have? It may be posted, but I'm in a rush to get to the store that sells papers before they close..full strength should be 1/2 strength & then graduated up. feed every 2-3 days..just when you'd typically water...If damage comes (nute burn), cut it down to every other. Don't dump half of it out, just get another bucket. yeah, diluting should work. I use .14 amp 120mm fans, and I get about 110cfm off each. They are pretty wicked. Water should keep for a while as long as your using a dark bucket. Wrap it with aluminum foil, wrap it with cloth, something to keep out the light. Light can/will cause algae problems. :)

i use a soil moisture meter bought at local store for 7 or 8 dollars take out a lot of guesse work, i use 3 gallon pots so it helps to get readings deeper in the soil . im doing less waterings now and my plants seem to like it

if you're using a moisture meter, you really should not even be growing. If it's that hard to detect if the pot is light/heavy...well, that speaks for itself...It's a waste of money unless you're growing in a 500000 gallon container that you can't physically lift up and tell the difference. Crusty soil is still your best bet. 3 gallon or 5 gallon, it really doesn't matter how deep you go into the soil with the meter because its going to read wherever the sensor is at. Less watering? How much watering were you doing before?

Sorry, but I think your *4mula* post is going to make things more complicated & really not worth the hassle.
