First Grow on Rollitup

Last night i got bored and was inspecting my girls when i got a wild hair up my ass to try out these Rapid Rooters.. So i went ahead and built an 8 site cloner with dual 6in airstones, that thing bubbles like crazy. I went with 1.25" holes, since the rapid rooters are soo small.
The guy at the hydroponics store talked me into buying 5 2in"foam rings" they are black circles with a cross cut in them, they are supposed to hole your stem while you submerge it in water on my bubbleponics setup, and its supposed to improve clone rooting by half the time. We'll see..
Anyway, After i got everything set up, i put my cloner in an aquarium with a 23watt cfl above it.
I took 2 clones as a test run, 1 super lemon haze(about 5in) and 1 acapulco gold(about 4in) both with healthy leaves and strong stems.
First i shaved off about 1/2in of the stems outer layer, then made my cuts below were i had shaved, putting the cut/shaved section directly into a glass of water after cutting.
After a 3-5min soak in the glass of water, I funnelled a little Greenlight Rooting Hormone into the RR's Holes and submerged them in glass of water my cuttings were in. From there, under water i inserted the cuttings into the RR's, after they were pushed deep enough to my likings, i pulled the plugs out and they both went to the cloner.
Last night after taking the cuttings they had the sunflower effect, where the lower branches grow out sideways and then peak upward, So when i stood them up straight they were facing one side or the other, but today they are both facing up toward the cfl and looking good so far. I wont give up on em until they ready to harvest or dead as door nails. but i think it will be fine, just that the leaves moved toward the light after being cut shows me the genetics are obviously pretty strong.

I also Transplanted my Rootbound Red Diesel, Acapulco Gold, Bubba Kush, and 1 of the Afghan kush from 1gallon bags to 3 gallon bags. im not the best with handling loose soil so i broke up some roots in all 4 but they seem to be doing better in thier new bags, all 4 of them have showed improvement overnight.

Even though im Feeding the soil, Am i going to need to go to a 4 or 5 gallon pot to make it through to harvest with my Non auto plants?

Speedy is starting to get shiny :)
All my autos are in 3 gallon bags so I know theyll be good all the way through harvest, hell santa only had 1/3 of the 3 gallon bag he was in rooted. So i pulled the roots out and mixed the soil back in my soil mix bin.
Any suggestions on anything?

Looks like you are cloning properly, i always try to get a few nodes in the media...this seems to help with clone time. Strain plays the biggest role and that little bubble cloner will help too. Clones need little light, dont put them so close that they lower humidity. Keep that aquarium close to 100 percent for a day or two. with the bubble cloner you only need to spray clones for the first two days. i keep a humidome over my clones but i have cloned without them in the past. you may think of partially covering the aquarium to raise humidity. you can slowly bring it down after a week or so. i am interested in seeing the results between the rockwool, foam plugs and without any media. be sure to use the same strains when comparing for viable results. some strains can easily take 2 weeks longer to clone.

i think u should be find breaking up the soil a little, people actually do this to help roots spread after transplant. i finish my plants in all different size containers and the pot size used depends on how long i plan on vegging. here are a few pictures showing pot sized and there relevant plants.

IMO my hydro plant if in soil would need a 7 gallon pot to finish to potential.

these plants are in 7 gallons and could have been in 5 gallon pots.

most of these plants are in 1/2 gallon pots and the smaller one is a 1.5 l pot.

this was the size just before 12/12. i could have used a bit bigger pots but they turned out great without.

this was a good year...a few harvests back- this is harvest 1 of 3. irrelevant but id thought id share.

Im starting to see some nice trichome development on speedy . I also let my temps raise back up to about 88 and they all seem to be growing stronger now. I also learned that my auto's dont like nutrients as much as the regular plants, so Ill just be watering them from now on.

Heres my test clones, SLH on the left, AG on the right. I just put my homeade cloner into an aqaurium, pulled a flag over it and turned on a 23watt cfl. they seem to be responding really well, all the leaves are supporting themselves and nothing is weathering or wilting.

I went ahead and made the decision to move my autos out of my grow room under t5's so that I could go ahead and put my regular plants into flower. I took 2 more clones from both Acapulco Gold and Super Lemon Haze giving me a total of 6 clones, 3 of each strain.
I flipped the lights back to 12/12, knowing that moving my auto's would probably kill my yeild. but im going for something bigger in this :)

I'll update with more pics when the time is right.

Well im not soo much getting rid of the auto situation, as planning for a better auto grow later. Right now having 11 plants in a 3'x2.5' area is waay too much, maybe not for germ'ing them all and getting them sprouted but with fully vegging-regular sized plants in that area, i might be able to fit 5 on a good day. So ill try to see if i cant get 3-5 running perpetually indoors until summer hits, then my full size plants can be moved outside and I can do a shit-ton of auto breeding. That should give me a nice full indoor harvest somwhere in Feb, another hopefully in April, then get auto's going to finish breeding by June or July and have a few more outdoor harvest of auto's before my oudoor reg plants get finished.

Overall my goal reflects around having 2-3 regular plants and 2 or 3 autos going indoors at once, then about 10x those numbers outdoors. I just paid 165 for a qtr of some shit they call "the monster" last night, rediculous prices, so if it kills me, ill have a pound by mid summer to hold me over until my outdoor crops finish, so maybe i can buy a few more auto genetics rather than spending my dough on overpriced grass.

May i ask what interests you so much about autos? I cant knock em till i try them, but i havent had a chance to try them.

The quickness, its possible for me to have a harvest damn near every week throughout the summer, i want to get them down and get my own crosses of auto's so that I can plant at will..

You should harvest every 3-5 weeks with bigger amounts to harvest. I think this will be less work. More productive.
