"First" grow on a small budget

I started germinating this seed I found in a bag of medical bud (strain unknown)
By the 3rd day I planted and after 2 days of not seeing it sprout I went looking for it. (I was kinda irritated and was wondering where the hell it was)

I'm using a 23watt (100w) 1500Lumen CFL at the moment as my plant that's getting ready to harvest is using my closet with my dual bulbs.

My nutes were donated to be from the person who gave me my "first" plant that I basically saved.
8-7-6 Miracle Gro Liquid Plant food. I plan on getting better this upcoming week.

Here come the pictures.
First pic: I physically found this seedling curled up under the soil and took it and planted it myself. Looks like "she" really wanted to grow.
The first day it was in the soil, by me was March 19th.
Day 1.jpgDay 2.jpgDay 3.jpgDay 5.jpg
I missed a pic on day 4! :-| Wasn't too happy about it was hoping to keep steady pictures.
5 drops of nutes on day 5
Day 6.jpgDay 7.jpgDay 8.jpgDay 9.jpg
Day 10 I added 6 more drops of nutes and yesterday (Day 12) I added more soil up to the rim of the pot I'm using for the time being.
Day 10.jpgDay 11.jpgDay 12.jpgDay 13.jpg
Also don't mind the light positioning in the photo.. I had to have room for my phone
Today I made a totally new box and it's loving it. I have a 4.5x4.5 comp cooling fan and it seems to be doing a great job.
I received a G13 Labs Pineapple Express from a friend of mine yesterday and started my own personal germination on it this morning.
Hoping to put that in soil tomorrow.

Some different angles, close up, etc.

Thanks for the feedback guys and go easy!

Left pic is march 21st. Right was today.
Ignore the height of her. I rescued her/inherited her from my buddy and we call her 'Hope' because we didn't expect her to grow.

lookin good bro! probly need some more light but i can under stand a small budget
check it https://www.rollitup.org/indoor-growing/517618-first-grow-cfl-veg-1000w.html

im also on my first grow and veggin under CFLs in a pretty ghetto DIY cab got a 1000w to flower tho :hump:

Thanks man!
The pictures don't really do the lighting justice if you're examining it from that point of view. If talking about the wattage, I understand. Trying to upgrade and buy new things whenever I get money.
The new box I built last night has really made a lot of difference and she can only get better from here. I'm calling her a female now. If she isn't then whatever but I found it in some medical bud. The last nug of the bag. So, I'm assuming the better

Really diggin' this site and impressed with the feedback I'm getting.

One love.

ya man this sites dope, learnt alot on here. So my first suggestion as you might already be trying to get prepared for is yes, get a good high power flowering light. This is key, u can veg. with whatever you want, but flowering is the most important right. What kind of soil are you using? Everythings looking good to me either way man, keep em green and good job rescueing that girl she clearly wanted to mature lol.. what a stretch she made, def. a sativa dominant, look at those sexy hairs forming.

oh and im sub'd lol.
Really appreciate it man. I've learned a lot in such a little time it is crazy. Plus I have so much more to learn about. The soil was given to me by the sativa's father lol. Miracle Gro Seed Starting Soil. Decent enough. He bought some low end nutes (for vegging not the best at 8-7-6 but it was his first so not he knew everything)
I saw on a thread here some better nutes and will be picking them up by the end of the week. (24-8-16 for vegging and 3-12-6 bloom nutes for flowering) If anyone has a better suggestion please feel free to chime in. So far, I am going to be going with those at the moment.
If it was indeed a tad bit too much water I understand why. I had to add more soil and I presume I put just a tad too much trying to saturate the new soil and get it settled in. I removed the excess and I'm sure she will even out just fine)

ya you will want to transplant to new soil later on. i suggest "pro-mix hp" or "pro-mix bx" the "bx" has more vermaculite in it for holding water and the "hp" has more perlite in it for draining water, i use the hp for indoors becuz u can get more feeds in if you are on a strict schedule. I forget whats good for the NPK ratio, i started a thread about it asking questions here is the link (too lazy to read thru it lol, might be of some help to u tho to do so)>>>> https://www.rollitup.org/nutrients/384975-whats-best-npk-balance-mj.html

i know u want a high phosphuros content when u flower, and high nitrogen content when u veg. For flowering i was told organic is quite the way to go with bat guano, worm castings, etc etc. never tried it tho, just stuck to the nutrients i had at the time, was pretty cheap. I ordered mine online "dutchnutrientformula.com" i got the whole kit that came with EVERYTHING for only $100 (excluding the organics)

Most definitely getting new soil. I plan on moving it around a foot or so? I agree with the perlite, that's what I have in my soil now and it really helps regulate my feedings. Don't want to put too much water ya know.

ya those blankets arnt tht good in a box cause they are made to keep heat in..i made tht mistake and got my temps up 7F but i took it out and used flat white paint and stays under 80F now..they are pretty reflective tho..better than aluminum foil..u shud use the dull side of the foil it wont case heat spots..but u shudnt have to worry u dont have much light..shud look into more..what is tht 1 CFL?
