First grow. Need a little help with soil choices.

Hi all, this is going to be my first grow and im trying get a good soil mix for seedlings then veg and flowering. I want to do subcools but i mean i wont be able to let it sit for 30 days so im wondering if anybody has some good soil mixes. Easy and effective or it can be difficult. Im willing to get my hands dirty. And i would love some "just add water" mixes like that of subcools if thats at all possible. Otherwise theres no problem in getting nutrients. Any and all help appreciated.

Remember Subcools soil is only for flower. How long do you plant to spend in germination, and vegetation? Most likely more than 30 days. I use Foxfarm Ocean Forest and Light Warrior blended 2-1.

Hey so the foxfarm ocean forest and light warrior mixed 2-1 has a good ph and what is the npk balance? I kno i can just look but id like to ask also do you use that all the way through? And what nutes you use?

I use Ocean Forest because OC and Happy Frog are the only quality soil available locally. I use the Light Warrior and OC combo in Veg I do not add perialite to the mix and do not have any drainage problems. I do feed with a little kelp and fish emulsions. I don't know that this is necessary for veg (I have seen no visible sign of nutrient deficiency). I feed very light and am not concerned with a small amount of excess since I reuse this soil in flower. As for the nutrient break down you will have to figure it for yourself I've never done it. This is not an original it is one of the mixes listed by
My flower mix is bases in this reused soil. My soil mix is not unlike everyone else's out there. I do like the 3 birds soil thread. This would be the bases for my flower. The only premixed supplement I use is Espoma. I do use Bi0-Tone lightly at each transplant. And Flower-Tone in my flower mix. They are much cheaper than any other organic supplement that is widely available. You can find it in walmart or any where.
Read 3LB's, Three Little Birds and OhSoGreen for good soil mix info.
Good luck.

yeah you can tell by looking at the plants about week 3 to 4 in flowering that the ph is low. but the buds look way fat.
