Hey swag, Just got a chance to look at your progress it looks really good your buds seem to be forming very nicely. They look to be nice and tight and dense to my eye already. You have alot of bud sites just curious where did you get your ummm shall we call it a screen?? lol i feel like that will help them immensely and i think that would help mine as well but im not sure where to look for that wire material maybe ace or lowes? Anywho your grow seems to be going along quite nicely can't wait to see them in full flower its gonna be sick. O and your clones look great dont mind the yellowing i read some where that that just means the roots are starting to sprout? also the ph could be a little higher but honestly every time i have ever made clones some get yellowish and some don't never really figured out why... maybe it has to do with the strain??? but yeah those roots look super white and healthy how old are they? and what kind light you got them under??? I have just started flowering with a shps bulb which cost me 169.99 plust tax so im hoping that it has a good effect i know its like 115,000 lumens so i know thats alot but my plants have a max height of 48 inches (any higher and i risk burning the buds and foliage ). Keep the pics coming i honestly feel my system is very closely related to yours so it's almost like seeing what my babies will be like if i kinda mimic your build which i kinda did already by having ruber maid tubs with air stones so its more of a DWC set then a aeroponic set up. I got my scrog fence from the home depot its the plastic fencing you use for gardens (the cheapest stuff they sell) and it weighs next to nothing. When I bought mine it was spaced 1''x1'' so I cut them into bigger squares ~2''x2''. When I have more money/time (prob for my next run) I would like to make a pvc stand with this scrog fence material... Yeah I think the clones when they turn yellow means they're using their stored nitrogen to create roots. They're growing roots fairly prolifically I can't believe how quickly they're taking over their net pots.. The clones are about two weeks old ish they're all different ages for the most part I've been taking cuttings since the week before flower. I'm unsure what light I'm using other than it's florescent (maybe T5?) IDK jack about florescent light... I took a picture of the sticker on it and the bulbs, they're on this thread somewhere... DAMN! Your bulb cost 170$???!!! is that a 1000w? I'm running a 1000w hortilux super hps enhanced spectrum bulb which new was 110 and its got an inital lumens of ~145,000 ... All I really can say about it is I can hardly stand being in the same room as it without my method seven glasses ha ha too bad they're made for men so they don't really fit my head 100%... What are the dimensions of your room? My plants are between 24inches and 29 inches I've been trying desperately (kind of LOL) to keep the sativa and indica relatively similar in height... how many airstones/ pumps do you have running? are you going to make/buy a cloner?

Hey, looks really great and going along smoothly, ill subscribe and follow your progress.

How old was the afghan when you transplanted it? Im currently on my first grow ever and ive just moved my babies to a dwc bubbler, even though no root has shown through the rockwool cube yet. I wanted to change the enviroment however and see how they do, they were/are going a bit slow i think. Or im just impatient and will kill them off first thing i do.

I grew the afghani from a seed I found. Currently it's about 2 weeks old. It has the funniest curly q root sticking out. They seem to root out very quickly for me especially after you get a root or two sticking out of the net pots. I have seemingly young clones with very extensive root systems despite some yellowing of the larger fan leafs.

-Hi, Swag thanks for letting me know where to get the fence at i think it really helps direct the light to your buds and spreads growth out. Your ladies look awesome and so do your clones the ones in picture 11-13 have super strong healthy looking roots. My clones are exactly 18 days old i originally started out with 12 and am down to 7 2 white widdow 3 xxx diamond og and 2 Private reserve og i think all of them are indicas. The clones now have some fuzzy white feeder roots poping out their net pots. I think i have the same bulb as you accept mine is a 600 watt its initial lumens is 115,000 so its really a bargain at those lumens and i have it 1ft above my flowering ladies because its an air cooled fixture so the light can be closer to the tops without burning them. the six ladies i have in my flowering room range from ww being 21inch -23 inch xxx diamond og 28-29 inches it was around 35 but i bent them sideways so they have more area to grow in plus if they go over 36 inches they are too close to the light. In my flowering room dimensions are 6ft tall and 4ft long and 2 ft depth and in my veg room i have a t5 as well that is 220 watts. Height has been a huge problem for me the xxx and pr both shot straight up right away tall and lanky while the ww is very bushy and stout i have six air stones in my flowering room along with two 185 gal pumps to spray the inside of the containers roots. I have a make shift cloner thats working well for now it has two more air stones in it and the roots just dangle down into the nutrient solution. I am making another aeroponic cloner soon to replace my make shift one.

btw whats your average temp in your room with that 1000 watt? cuz even with my room being air cooled with an inline fan that has 432 cfm its still around 74-75

My bulb is just hooked up to my homemade hood no air cooled anything unless by air cooled you're talking about ambient air... It's cool though because my light is about a foot above the plants maybe less and I don't really notice any burning... Once the branches stretch too close i tie or bend them down so maybe that's why I haven't noticed anything... In the beginning though I noticed sometimes the the leaf sets would curl ever so slightly and attributed this to the light being very close however, it must've corrected itself or something because everything looks pretty textbook so far -knock on wood-... I have two fans going right now soon to be three... One oscillating fan and I have an 8 inch fan directly cooling my two air pumps and ballast (which keeps all except the strangely the inline air pump completely cool to touch). My room is never above 80. That being said sometimes when I have to close the door it gets to be 76- 78 but I make certain my roots are >70... Right now with lights off its 72 when the lights are on and the door is open it's about 74-75F if I were to however keep the door closed though it would climb very quickly to 80+.swag

Well I'm on day 19 I think of flower however these can take anywhere from 9- 11 weeks from what I've heard. They've FINALLY stopped stretching for the light as much. I really need to go through these things as trim some leafs off of under the canopy... I haven't really noticed a huge change in flower bud size and they don't smell as of yet LOL...swag

They look beautiful... your camera must have some really nice features because its so crystal clear, you can even see the THC crystals forming. That's the first time i have seen your main stem.... and its fucken thickkkkkk! That stem is literally like the size of a broom handle those are gonna throw you some monster colas! keep up the great work keep those pictures coming this is like NUG PORN LOL

LOL thanks for the compliment. my camera is a cheapo cannon digital camera I got a few years ago that I use on the auto setting since it's the only one that will pick anything up when the hps is on. The Nicer quality photos earlier in the post were taken with my dads cannon t2i with a cannon 24:105 red lense and that's a NICE camera... I love taking pictures of my plants I can't wait until this grow is finished so I can go back and see them from start to finish. I will try to get some main stem pictures with something to reference them off of they're quite the stalky things and you're quite right they are probably about the size of a broom stick handle ...I'm hoping for some weight in my yield because these strains are supposed to be low yielders...swag

Hey, do you have any nutes going for your clones? That might be the reasoning for the yellowing. Also, sometimes the leaves just begin yellowing after rooting and it's nothing to worry about.

but keep in mind clones are not seedlings and can, and will, need nutes soon! Cheers, looking good.

Perhaps that's it... I just changed their res' however I've given them the same amount of nutrients as before when they were under the T5 and they seemed fine... Oh well off to check this out and see if that's what the problem is.

Looks great ..... god i just cant get over the size of your stem lol it looks like that fencing is really working well for you also i cant believe how many bud sites you have its jaw dropping. Also they are just beginning to fill in your gonna have some monster colas! O btw is smell becoming a problem for you yet cuz i noticed when my lights turn on and off for thirty min after the smell so so potent it smells like i just took a huge hit lol. YOUR BONG LOOKS AWESOME *DROOL* *DROOL* very jealous i only have a bubbler because i recently broke my bong by leaving it on the floor and walked by and kicked it :*( it was a very sad day...

Ha ha, thanks dude I can't wait until my next run, I'm hoping for bigger stems once I tweak a couple of things with my system... Yeah, I'm sooo glad I opted for the scrog but, mine is clearly subpar to what it could be... Again, next time I anticipate a more proper set up.

So far, from speaking with other growers and reading up on my strains, I've found that the two strains I've chosen get smelly late... however, as of last night, I noticed an EXTREMELY fruity sweet aroma filling my flower room prior to this though my boyfriend attests that they've mostly smelt like dank leaves with the occasional burp of fresh leaves/bud wafting out ...

I have a commercial grade ozone generator to combat the smell once that becomes an issue... I mostly just stick it in the hallway next to the front door so that I'm not stinkin' out my neighbors. It works great, I run it for 15-30min usually and it takes care of the smell for quite some time...

Bummer about the piece! my brother has broken nearly every single piece I've owned... He's frigghin' butterfingers and tries to blame it on the dog X-D
That bong is best bong I've ever hit though, hands down... I feel like a weed scientist holding/using it ha ha it's like a super intense conical flask and as you can see it's like 1/3 the size of me so all the better... Can't beat the sound of a good water pipe either it's heavenly.. I can't wait to get an oil rig though... That really gets you right between the eyes, fast.
