So this is my first grow. I would like to start you all with alittle back story about the past few weeks. I started a legit garden outside the house with several flowers and cooking herbs, but a cold came through and nothing had sprouted for 2 or 3 weeks so I gave up on the garden. In the meantime I was starting a indoor closet grow. Out of the two seeds I planted inside, 1 sprouted so I ditched the unborn seed and just focused on the plant. This wednesday will be week 3 for the sprout. I*ve got 4 cfls focus very close to the sprout with the watts ranging from 15-25 with both warm and soft light.

Now today I checked the side garden just out of curiousity and I had a beautiful looking sprout growing. Not being able to leave it outside I*m going to be it in. I*m redoing my closet set up and will have a whole new setup as of tomorrow with 2 plants instead of one.

Since everything in the grow space will be different as of tomorrow, I*m not going to bother with pictures, yet. But be expecting the first set of pictures with the new setup and the two plants.

So I*ve transplanted my plants into their final container. I went out and bought a ph tester and some "cool white" clf's for vegging. I*m content with how everything looks and feels. If anyone has any comments or advice, its much welcome.

This is the whole setup.

This one is the plant that came from outside.

This is the one I have had inside from day one. As you can tell its alittle more abused then then its outside counterpart.

Sometimes I have to close my curtain to the grow to conceal it and when that happens it get really hot in there. I have a big fan that keeps it cool but it can*t function with a closed curtain, which is why the lights are backed off alittle.

The first plant that was inside from the beginning was behind the curtain for a solid day, so it got really hot and the tips of some of the leaves burnt. So I backed up the lights up alittle bit.

The streched plant is from outside.

So here is alittle update. I found an unused extension cord around the house. I think it was left over from x-mas, and is now being used to move my fan even closer to the grow. I also went to local walmart and purchased some fertilizers.

I put just a tiny tiny little bit into the water, ph'ed to make sure things were still good, and distributed the water between the plants so I will see how that goes. Also moved the lights down alittle now that the fan can be right in the action.

Also better camera is coming soon. So expect better pictures.

Here is the fan.

Update. I gave the tiny bit of nutes and no burn! Things are going well.
I just changed one of the lower watt bulbs for a full spectrum bulb. I*ve got 3 extra bulbs I*m going to try and squeeze in there tomorrow. They are growing very well and I*m excited with how this will turn out.
Only thing is, due to my schedule I can only veg for another week and then I must begin the flowering process. So sometime between next friday and sunday I will begin the flowering process.

So just curious. When going into flowering. Can you add alittle bit of time to your timer so the lights cut off earlier and earlier to simulate summer becoming fall?
The plant doesn*t just wake up and its 12/12 one day.

Well since no one replied I went ahead an subtracted one hour off the timer. So now they are at 17/7. By Sunday they will be at 12/12. Here are a few pictures to update who is looking out there.

So I added this big ass reflector which has another mix of warm and cool light. This brings the total of 6 lights in this tight space.

Heres the outsider.

And here's the insider.

rep+ just for finally replying ha. I figured it would only be smart. And with two plants.. I*m banking on atleast 1 female. I*d even settle on a hermie. Ha.

Quick question to anyone though.. Do you want a humid grow area when flowering or does that cause the bud rot? I know you keep it humid during veg which is why I have a little bowl of water in there that I refill every 3 days or so.

I don*t have the exact temp but its not that hot. I actually lied in the beginning about leaves burning. I gave them alittle bit of nutes when they were still were still way to young.

And I don*t want to switch over to 12/12 just yet.. I want to give alittle bit more time to grow which is another reason I decided to switch slowly. They are somewhere between 3-4weeks old. I don*t remember the exact date.

Chinese food boxes for pots... I love it.

Oh, and be careful with those clamp-on reflector deals+cfls. The ballast is right there on the ass end of the bulb, and all the heat the it's making bounces right back at it. That could burn your place down, or at the very least...the cfl's will crap out really fast.

Usually you use the cfl horizontally, and the reflector looks like a 1/2 a soup can or something, and only goes behind the tube coil and not the ballast part.

Or...last time I was at wal-mart I saw cfls that have a built-in reflector hood like those outdooor spotlights. They looked pretty sweet.

I*ve been watching and nothing has gone wrong yet, so I try not to worry to much about it.

But as for an update: I purchased some stuff for smells today. They are these gels that you can place around litter boxes and stuff. Also bought some oust and frebreeze products.
I also gave them some more nutes today. I gave them alittle more then last time and I toke another hour off the timer. So now 16/8.

Oh and quick question, I gathered some rain water yesterday because we had a nasty storm come through. I ph'ed the water and its all good. Would it be safe to give to the plants in a few days for their next watering?

Small update. I think i*ve been overwatering alittle. The tips are beginning to curl so I*m going to allow to eat for a few days. Toke another hour off. 15/9. Other then that everything*s looking good.

Well.. something got the best of me. I just put the timer on 12/12. So at 4 o'clock the lights will be off. Now the hoping for a female begins.

Cutting the lights down easy is okay. I am too lazy to do it myself, but theres quite of bit of reading that says it's great. I heard its especially good for the strains that come from places with no real winter to speak of. Grow looks nice, Good luck.

Well seeing as its juts bagseed.. I*m not really worried about it anymore.
I*ll do alittle bit of experimentation on the next grow. Right now i*m just looking for a finished product.

Due to some.. unforseen circumstances. The grow was ripped up and cleaned out in a moments notice. Another one will come in a little bit, but for now this one is done with.
